"Hey hey hey, it's alright." I said, soothing Emily as she payed on my lap quietly sobbing into my pillows as mascara ran down her face.

"No it won't! CALUM I'm going to miss him so much" she said in between hiccups. "I know I know, we're all going to miss you and your dog,but we'll only be gone for like a couple months." I said madder-of-factly.

"MONTHS?!" She cried looking up at me with those big blue puppy eyes, almost as if she was staring into my soul, like she was reading my mind and searching for lies. Her irises flickering from left to right and up and down.

Soon she began sobbing again. "Shhhhh. It's alright it's alright," I said trying to sound as convincing as I could. But before I could say anything else there was a knock at the door. "Um... Were you expecting anyone?" She asked. "No not really." I said, clenching my jaw, not really happy that there was someone inturruptimg my time with Emily.

I got up to answer the door but before I could she was already up going to it. "Emily?!" When she answered the door there stood  a crying Lucas. At that moment I knew it was all over. "Emily? Wha-what are y-you doing here?" Luke said. She huffed and soon she was out of the door. "Emily!" He screamed running after her. I stood there dumbfounded.

Luke

"Shit."

Why do I always mess things up?! I started to run after her wiping my - now tear stained- cheeks and hoping I wouldn't start crying again.

She turned back at me only to trip over her own feet. I quickly dashed over to her side, in hopes of catching her, but instead slipped in a puddle of mud and landed right under her. 'Ouch' i groaned in pain as soon as she fell right on top of me. "S-sorry" she said. But as soon as she saw who I was a look of regret flashed over her face, but was quickly replaced with anger.

"You know what? I take it back. Your so incredibly-" and before she could finish her sentence I cut her off.

3rd person pov

Luke's lips slammed into hers interrupting whatever madness she was about to spill out. The kiss lasted for a couple more seconds before Luke broke it off. "Emily, I am so, so sorry I didn't tell you before, but I just didn't know how. The only thing rushing through my head was 'she needs to be mine, she needs to me mine, she needs to be mine, fuck off Michael ' " Emily and Luke both letting out a small chuckle afterwards."Luke, listen, I'm so exited and happy for you, really I am, but I just feel like this is the worst possible timing for you to be leaving for tour." Emily responded whilst getting up from the concrete. She pulls back a strand of her hair and huffs out a breath. She looks down at her toes in embarrassment because half her body is covered in mud from the puddle.

"I'm really sorry Em", Luke says. He takes his thumb and tilts her chin up, forcing her to look up at him. And they kiss. A meaningful, long kiss. Nothing sexual but just a kiss to say all their words for them.

Hey so basically I lost hope in this book but I decided not to discontinue this book and hopefully just keep going with it.
