As I walked home from school, I looked at the leaves changing colors on the trees. I winced as the chilly autumn wind blew in my face.

Man, it was crispier than the girls with fake tans at school out here. I swear, they look like pieces of freaking bacon.

I tugged my sleeves to my sweater down, feeling a chilly breeze blow by. "Hey! Rose!" I  heard a familiar voice call from behind me.

It was just Kiely. I smiled and I stopped walking, letting her catch up to me. "Hey!" She said, out of breath.

"Hey Kiely."

She signed and threw her arms around me, singing out loud like she had no cares in the world.

Typical Kiely.

"So," She said, looking at me and narrowing her lips, "Are you coming with us to the party tonight? Cooper got us all fake IDs" She announced excitedly.

At lunch, I had heard her and all of her so called "friends" talking about their plan to go to some party. I couldn't help but overhear the desperate, whiny girls

I shrugged, feeling uneasy about the idea.

"Kiely, do you know how worried my mom would be? She'd kill me if I got home that late." I said, staring at the cracks in the sidewalk.

I swear I could fell her roll her eyes.

"Listen Rosie, you need to live life! Get out! Party!" She grabbed my shoulders, shaking them. My mouth just hung open.

Life isn't all about partying.

"Rose.." She mocked me and I rolled my eyes. She snickered and shoved me. So I shoved her back. As we made this into a game, we kept shoving each other, laughing out heads off.

Suddenly, I looked to my side and a mysterious man walked by.

From what I could see, he had olive toned skin like me. His eyes were dark and mysterious.

We only shared a short glance, but he definitely caught my attention. "Oooh. He was cute, don't you think?" Kiely whispered to me. I rolled my eyes, blushing a dark shade of red.

"Aww! You're blushing!" She pointed out. That made me blush even redder and I slapped her shoulder.

"Kiely. He was way too old for the both of us." I said and she scowled. "Well I don't Care! He could have me all he wanted!" She joked. I gasped and she just laughed, her blonde hair flying everywhere from the wind.

She's terrible sometimes. Dad was right about her being a bad influence.

I knotted my eyebrows close together.

"What?!" She asked.

I just shook my head and looked down at my feet.

Kiey looked at me with bug eyes and smile. "So. You coming with us or not?" She asked.

I frowned. "Look, Kiely..I really want to, but-"

"But you're too lame to go" She shot at me. I could tell that she was growing angrier by the second.

It's always my fault, isn't it?

My eyebrows were still furrowed close together as I looked at her stone cold face.

"I'm sorry.." She said.

I just nodded. "It's okay."

I tried to swallow the lump that formed in the back of my throat, but it just bobbed back up every time I tried. "I'm just gonna go.." I said, walking up to my driveway, both us splitting to out own houses that were across from each other.
