After leaving Cristiano's office, Roxy showed me around a little bit, allowing me to grow a little more fond of Brama d'Amore.

She led me into the lounge, where we sat and walked for a little while, before she stood up slowly.

"So is Cristiano the boss of the Mafia?" I curiously asked Roxy.

"No. His father, Rocco, is. He is just gone right now because he's out of town for a few days on a little mission." She told me.

Something beeped and she took out her phone.

"Looks like I have a client to go to. Listen, you can chill here, or walk around. It's totally up to you!" She said, before leaving me alone.

But I wasn't alone for long. I soon heard footsteps coming down the stairs and I turned to my left, watching Damien walk down a flight of stairs from the balcony.

Damien came over to the bar near me and fixed himself a drink before coming over and sitting across from me.

After taking a sip of whatever he was drinking-probably an alcohol beverage-he looked at me and gave me a half smile.

"What's going through your mind?" He asked.

I shook my head and looked at the table.

"I just want to know why I am here....and if I should even be trusting the people here.." I quietly replied.

"You can trust me.." He said.

I looked up and knit my eyebrows close together.

"I'm not sure I can.." I whispered.

He took another sip of his drink and it was silent from there.

"I promise that you will know why you are here. Give us some time to adapt to this situation and we will tell you. All you can know, currently, is that you have to be kept safe, so that is why you're staying with Roxy. We're not going to hurt you, Rose." He told me.

"I think you've had to much to drink." I teased, making him smile.

"I swear I'm telling the truth." He said, going back to a serious tone.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Roxy approaching us.

"That was quick." Damien said. She nodded. "Well, I think I'm going to take the rest of the day off and go home, I might as well get you to feel comfortable too, Rose." Roxy said, turning to me.

Damien looked disappointed, but it faded away and a smug smile washed upon his face as a tall, lean girl walked in. She was a natural blonde and she had some highlights.

She also had green eyes from where I could see. She was dressed in a bright blue tube top and a black mini skirt.

What a great way to attract attention.

I sighed and looked at Roxy. She looked back at me and made a disgusted face, letting me know that she didn't like the chick who just walked in.

The girl had no problem coming over and sitting on Damien's lap. He smirked and wrapped his arms around her waist.

I stood up and she as well and we walked out of the lounge together.

I could feel Damien's stare as we walked out of the large room.

"Are they always like that?" I quietly asked Roxy. She frowned and nodded. "Yes...unfortunately" She simply said.

I pouted and ran my fingers through my hair. "Come on. Let's get you to my place hun." She said, dragging me out to the main room with her.
