A/N
Sorry I've been really inactive and kinda lazily posting but I'm trying, honest! Here's a little one shot idea I've had for a while <3

"Pssst! Dan! Get up!" I turned around groggily, spotting Phil.

     "Yes?" I replied sarcastically.

"Well if you're gonna have an attitude about it I suppose I won't tell you then." That got me up. Damn my curiosity. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes to get a better look at Phil. The light streamed in from the window he probably just opened. The sun's rays hit his eyes and face perfectly, making him look even more godlike. I have such a gorgeous boyfriend.

"Philllll. I'm up. Now you have to tell me." I urged.

"That means you need to get ready Dan. Get dressed, brush your teeth. All that good stuff. And I can't exactly tell you. You just need to trust me to show you the, thing." Phil explained with a grin. When will this spoon stop killing me? "Fine. If you want to be like that then fine. I need five minutes."
I stayed in bed for a minute after Phil got up to stretch. I lifted my arms with a yawn and proceeded to the bathroom. The floor could have given me frostbite so I slid on my slippers.

I trudged into the bathroom and examined my face. I looked at my eyes, Phil had always said they were "fancy chocolate" and not "boring brown", as I used to refer to them. After him saying this for years I had started to believe him. I was just as in love with my eyes as he was now.

Speaking of eyes, Phil had always said that he hated how bright his eyes were, that they made him look overbearing and intimidating. I suppose I returned the favor by making him fall in love with his eyes. I called them oceans and bright blue skies on a cloudless day, both things I knew he loved. We both made each other associate ourselves with things we thought beautiful and finally started to believe it. I guess that's why I'm in love with him.

After all, falling in love with yourself is harder than falling in love with anything else. I sound totally poetic at the moment but you have to realize, this is all inspired by my beautiful boyfriend.

I decided that I looked fine after combing through my hobbit hair, which Phil had also taught me to appreciate, and throwing on a plaid shirt and a pair of fresh skinny jeans. By fresh I mean not found on the floor, which applied to all of our clothing. And the occasional item of food.

I strolled out to find Phil gone with a note on our breakfast table and rose petals scattered on the floor leading to the stairs that led up to the roof of our house. Our real actual house that we had bought last year. Was this thing tough to clean or what? Being the absolute neat freak I am, the answer is yes, yes it is.

"Phillll? Am I supposed to follow the rose petals or what?" I called out.

"Read the note!" I heard him whisper/shout from about ten feet away. "Okay! I hope you know this sounds very serial killer-ish to me." I hollered in reply. I waited, no answer. Okay then. Suddenly filled with curiosity and confusion I walked to the table which had the note sitting on it. This was shaping up to be quite a romantic gesture.

Before picking the note up, I examined the outside. It was simply decorated with a golden lace border lining cream colored paper. In the middle of the half folded piece of paper was my name, delicately written in Phil's cursive handwriting with black ink that stood out from the very neutral paper. I'd always told him that his cursive handwriting was beautiful as he always used many loops and seemingly the perfect pressure.
