The beach was quite crowded that day, with the weather being very hot and school being out. Endless rows of towels and umbrellas stretched across the shore. A brunette girl in a pale green bikini sat in a folding chair on the sand. She wore a floppy pink hat and sunglasses to shade herself. The woman kept looking out into the water. She longed for it, but was terrified to go in alone.

As she sat she read a novel carefully and tried not to let the surrounding noise bother her. Suddenly, the wind picked up and the ocean breeze did not do anything but encourage it. The pages of the book flapped around and made her lose her page. Then her sunhat went flying across the beach. Everyone was too caught up in their own day to notice or help. So she chased after it, eventually spotting it in the water next to the jetti. She cautiously walked across the rocks and bent down to pick up the hat. But just then, she slipped because the hat was too far and fell in. Luckily, a blonde woman emerged from the water and caught her in the nick of time. Meanwhile the hat floated away. The shorthaired girl placed the other on the rocks and swam to get what the brunette had lost.

The first woman tried to regain her breathe as the second one swam up to her, with a moderately soaking hat in her hand. "Thank you very much. " she said, accepting the object that was held out to her.

"It was my pleasure." Said the fair haired girl with a small wink. " Hi I'm Hannah. And you are?"

"Ingrid. " she replied, a slight blush creeping onto her face.

"Well Ingrid, looks like you owe me a date."
