3rd P.O.V
Kimberly slowly opens the main door and sees Ashton siting in his car. He seems very impatient and aggravated. She slowly walks towards the car as it starts pouring rain. She quickly makes her way to the car trying to avoid the bone chilling wind. She then sees Ashton glaring at her with his forestry green eyes; under his glaze Kimberly shrinks back into her seat. As the vehicle pulled out of the secluded area, Aston immediately sped up the car. Kimberly slightly jumped in fear without realizing she is clawing her nails into his forearm, which was placed on the gear shaft. Instead of slowing down the car Ashton sped up some more, completely ignoring Kimberly as if she was never in the car to begin with.
As they reached Kimberly's house Ashton hears blood-curling scream as he looks around he sees a middle aged man beating his wife with a belt as his 5 year old child watched and laughed as his mother got beat. Ashton looked over at Kimberly seeing her looking at the ground, slightly shaking in fear. Aston quickly tells Kimberly to go inside to gather her belongings. As soon as she was out of sight he made his way towards the couple. Just as the belt was about to hit the woman's bare flesh, Ashton caught it with his hand and ripped it out of the man's grip. Before the man could even react, Ashton punched him square in the face, and didn't stop until he was unconscious. Blood trickled down the man's face, his nose crooked indicating it is broken. Ashton than made his way over to the mother, helping her up as she cried and repeatedly thanked him. He then turned towards the child, grabbing him by the neck. Ashton's voice was thick as he informed the child to always respect his mother and other women. Ashton took his handkerchief out of the front pocket of his suit, whipped his hands and made his way over to his car like nothing happened.
After waiting a couple minutes, Kimberly walks out with a suitcase in each hand. He opens the trunk and sits in the car without helping her. As Kimberly walks down her driveway, strain is visible on her face from carrying the heavy suitcases; she places the luggage in the trunk. She slowly makes her way to the passenger side and sits down. The atmosphere surrounding them is very intense and heavy. As Kimberly fastened her seat belt, she mumbled "Thanks for helping" under her breath. What she didn't know is Ashton heard her loud and clear.
As Ashton drove passed the woman he helped earlier, she shouted a thank you. Kimberly merely looked at the woman and the beaten man lying on the ground in front of her confused as to what had happened.
After driving for a few minutes the engine started to make strange noises. Ashton stopped the car in the middle of the vacant road, not bothering to pull it to the side. Ashton stepped out of his car, furious. As he lifted the hood a cloud of smoke hit his face causing him to step back slightly, coughing. Kimberly also got out of the car taking in her surroundings. She knew this area a little too well. She was standing in front of a cinema house that she used to go to all the time before it was closed down due to safely reasons. A safety inspector had claimed the roof could collapse at any given moment, which it still hasn't.
As she continued to look around she was suddenly grabbed from behind. Before she could yell out a rough hand covered her mouth and dragged her towards the dark alleyway. She looked up, only to see Ashton's much larger figure pressing her against the wall. She mumbled against his hand, struggling to get out of his grasp. This only made Ashton harden his grip around her and push her harder against the wall. He leaned down to her level telling her to shut the fuck up in a quiet but deadly voice. She immediately froze and squeezed her eyes shut in pain. Ashton glanced down at her for a few seconds before looking away.
He is concentrated on the approaching footsteps, which he can hear from the crunch of the leaves. He moves his hand from her mouth and leans in a little more so Kimberly's face is pressed up against his chest. She could feel his heart beating against his chest, she could smell the intoxicating scent of his cologne that made her head spin, and she could feel his arms tightening against her waist. Their breathing became harsh as Kimberly grabbed a fist full of his shirt in fear, holding him closer. She knew they are in danger but deep down she felt safe in Ashton's strong arms.
Ashton lifted his left arm away from her waist towards the holster that held his pistol. He took the pistol out of the holster and placed it on the wall right beside Kimberly's head. A click is heard as his thumb flipped over the hammer of the pistol, indicating it is ready for use.
Two men are making their way towards Ashton's car. As they look around and they realize he isn't around. One of them yells out, "Where the fuck is he, we can't go back without killing the motherfucker!"
Ashton leans down and whispers, "Do not move or make a fucking sound." He releases his grip on Kimberly and slowly makes his way towards the location of the two men surrounding his car. Ashton shoots one of the men in the head while the other tries to ducks for cover. Once he's behind the car he shoots back at Ashton, a bullet skimming his right arm. Ashton immediately shoots back hitting the man in the shoulder causing him to fall backwards. Ashton walks around the vehicle towards the man on the ground like a predator stalking his prey. He shoots the man once more in the stomach wanting him to slowly bleed to death. Ashton than makes his way back towards Kimberly. He quickly grabs her upper arm and drags her towards the car telling her to grab her luggage as he looks around the area. Kimberly grabs her luggage out of the trunk and faces Ashton. As they start walking down the road they could see the forest in the far distance.
After walking for a good 10 minutes, Aston turns around and sees Kimberly struggling to carry the luggage. With an annoyed look on his face he grabs both bags out of her hands without saying a word. Kimberly stood there dumbfounded, surprised of Ashton's action. She then quickly makes her way to his side and she notices a rip in his jacket and blood dripping down his right hand. Kimberly decides it would be better not to say a word as the couple continues down the paved road.
Kimberly's P.O.V
I made my way upstairs to my new room with one of my bags in hand. I went back down to grab the second suitcase, which was near the front door, but before I could get there I saw Ashton standing in the kitchen, shirtless trying to wash his wound. I hesitated a little debating whether I should go help him or not. After a few moments I slowly made my way over to him and gently placed my hand below his wound. I didn't bother making eye contact with him but I could feel his eyes on me. Without a sound I moved his arm closer to the sink and softly cleaned the wound with water without touching it. I grabbed a paper towel roll sitting by the toaster and whipped the blood mixed water off his arm. The first aid kit was already on the kitchen counter so I grabbed some antiseptic wipes to insure the bullet wound wouldn't get infected. As I touched the wound with the wipe he immediately reacted by grabbing my waist with his strong grip causing me to freeze. I took a deep breath and started cleaning the wound once again. I slightly blew on it not wanting to cause him too much pain. After I finished wrapping glaze around his arm I realized he wasn't letting me go. I tried moving back without making any eye contact but he pulled me closer to him. I could feel his muscles pressed against my body. I slowly looked up into his eyes that seemed to intoxicate me each time. He moved his right arm and placed his hand on the back of my neck causing me to freeze again. He pulled me closer towards his face. I closed my eyes as I felt his minty breath hit my face. Just as his lips were about to touch mine we heard a loud creak causing us to jump apart.
Ashton let out a low growl as Damon walked into the kitchen.
"What happened to you?" Damon asked, pointing towards Ashton's arm.
