the rest of the world was black and white
~~~~~~~
No one else mattered to me but her.
It was like the whole world was somewhere else, in black and white and we were the vibrant youth.
we ran, we sang, we danced, we even screamed at the top of our lungs, and we didn't care.
we were young, we had no idea of what was to become of us.
we'd never really had labels. we were never officially together in a way. Our subconscious minds made the labels and put them on us.
we tried to rip them off. we didn't want to be forced like puppets, to play along with everyone else's games.
We wanted to be the puppet masters, not our demons, we wanted to be the author's, we wanted to be in control- to have the ability to control.
she had full capability of being I'm control.
I didn't.
she stayed for a while, pretending she had no idea. But then, she realized.
I could go so much further than the trees.
and so she did.
the rest of the world turned black and white, when she left.
