“Beautiful name, for a beautiful young lady.” He winked before placing her hand back to her side.
Hailey didn’t know what to say or to do so just take in a deep breath and espy at the floor before looking back at him with round brown eyes and a hint of pink upon her porcelain cheeks.
Aaron laughed as he saw the young lady in front of him look bashful. ‘She is something else.’ He thought to himself as he couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
“So Hailey, how about I get your number, and this time we can meet somewhere not filled with kids.” Aaron asked hoping to see this girl again.
Hailey thought about his offer for a second. “Hmm, give my number to the guy who honked at my ass while I was getting t-shirts for kids and who is a professional player that plays a sport that I don’t really like?” She semi-teased, something about his playful behavior was exciting her but she didn’t know why. Crossing her arms she waited for him to answer.
Aaron’s face fell for the slightest second before he looked behind her to see James give him a ‘thumbs up’. But then he saw the tiniest of smirks upon her lips and he knew she was teasing him. An idea came to mind. “But, I’m not that guy anymore.” He said.
“That was this morning.” She stated.
“Please, do it for the kids.” He clasped his hands together dropping to his knees.
Hailey’s brows raised as she him pulling out a whole act in front of her. Her mouth fell a gaped as he hugged her around her waist and rested his head on her stomach.
“Do it for the baby on the way.” He told her as if they were a married couple who had kids and were expecting one soon.
“Okay, okay.” She laughed taking his head from her abdominal into her gentle hands. “Give me your hand.”
Un-wrapping a hand from her petite waist, he gave her his plain hand for her to right on.
She took a red pen from apron and wrote the nine digits to her cell phone signing her name lastly. ‘Call Me (818) ~555~5170 –Hailey Ramos’
Aaron stood up with one hand still resting on her waist “I will definitely call you.” His husky voice sang as his face was inching closer to hers.
But before Aaron could place a kiss to her cheek he saw James giving him a ‘don’t do it’ signal. Giving him a questionable look he lightly gulped and placed his lips on her soft cheek for a second before removing his hand from her back and whispered a ‘bye’ before walking off to his friend who gave him a ‘are you crazy’ look.
Hailey was confused, she swore she felt Aaron tense up, but she couldn’t think of why. ‘Did he have a girlfriend who came by?’ She thought before turning around and seeing no one looking out of the ordinary. Shrugging the thoughts she grabbed the two Caesar salads and walked back to her friend who didn’t look as mad, but grumpy.
