A Little Strange

                                                                          Chapter 3 | A Little Strange

You had decided to spend your free time with Matt. His tone upon asking would come off as a slight command, his chocolate eyes never leaving yours. The excessive amount of eye contact was quite weird, but whatever, right? Eventually you would have to get used to it. He had offered to go for a slight walk around the base. Not the worst thing to happen, you thought. Random, definitely.

"So what do you think of Kylo Ren?" Matt asked abruptly, your eyes glancing over to him. His face was somewhat blank, as usual, although you could tell that he really wanted an answer to the question asked seconds ago.

"Wouldn't know. Never met him. Only heard stuff around the base about him." The blonde raised a brow at your response, as if curious to the details. He was.

"Such as?"

"Some good, some bad. I've heard a lot of complaints about his "attitude.""

"M- Attitude, huh?" He asked. 

"I guess. Mostly the tantrums. Usually some others and I are the ones dealing with the mess afterwards."

"I see." Matt's tone was slightly lower, his fists tightening, although basically unnoticeable. That is, unless being examined. You almost immediately noticed this, raising a brow at the suspicious and sudden behavior. Why did he care so much about the opinions of others on Kylo Ren?

"Seems like a kinda decent guy, though. Despite the damage stuff." You attempted to ease the mood. Both his and your pace grew slowly as he received the words. He had turned his head, staring straight ahead, no replies to your added sentences.

A few minutes passed, consisting of awkward and silent walking.

"I'm sure he'd like to meet you sometime. You're a nice girl- and stuff." He said, ending off awkwardly, as usual.

"Ha. I'd be sure to give my best impression, then." You said, although that meeting would be quite nerve-racking. Most people feared Kylo Ren, for multiple reasons. Besides, you were just a technician. Why would he want to meet someone like you?

"I have to go now." Matt spoke somewhat loudly, turning to look at you. "But how about this: Come to the 10th room on the upper level in two hours. You can't miss it." You looked confused, attempting to remember the directions. Matt nodded, turning on his heels as he walked away, leaving you very puzzled as you watched him walk off swiftly.
