It's been a week. Almost a week and a half.
"Almost 300 missed calls V." She groaned. "He's psycho."
"Yeah," Veronica murmured. "Psycho for you." That earns a pillow thrown at her.
"OUCH!" She yelled as it nailed her square in the face. "And what's so bad about having a guy who's so crazy that they'll kill for you? I mean, I personally think its romantic."
"Yeah, but I'm not a sadist." Marisol grumbled. "And it's bad because what if he actually kills someone?? And goes to JAIL??"
"Eh, jail's not that bad." That earns another pillow, but this one was evaded. "What? I'm telling the truth. But now that you have me thinking, he wouldn't go to jail, it'd be MUCH worse. I'm talking prison sentence. So I guess that poses a red flag??" Veronica said.
"YES IT DOES POSE A RED FLAG THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" Marisol yelled.
"God, all this prison talking makes me hungry.. what are we having for breakfast?"
"Seriously??"
"Yes, SERIOUSLY." Veronica deadpanned. "What are we having?"Marisol shrugged. "Let's go check."
They both got up from Marisol's bed and headed down the steps, and to the kitchen. They both greeted Marisol's mother and found places to sit at the island.
"Mom, did you make anything?" Marisol asked, yawning.
"Sorry guys, I have to be out early. As you can see, I'm dressed and about to leave. I didn't have time to make anything, but there's things in the refrigerator. Figure it out." She said and kissed Marisol on the head. "See you later girls!"
"Bye Mom!"
"Bye other mom!"Veronica rummaged through the fruit basket on the island and pulled out a peach. "Ooh peaches." She took a quick bite and got up to check the fridge. She noticed Marisol fell asleep next to her and she wanted to slap her awake but she decided to be a nice friend.
She swung open the fridge door and took out some eggs. "Why not?" She muttered to herself and closed the fridge.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
"Shit," she placed the eggs carefully on the counter and quickly shuffled to the front door. She slowly opened it.
"Hey, uh.."
"Shhh, she's sleeping at the island. She doesn't know."
"Why didn't you tell her?"
"She would've been even angrier at me."
"Okay, I guess I understand, but why did you call me here and tell me to bring breakfast at that?"
"Shit, I'm sorry, a bad bitch gets hungry sometimes. Plus, you're here because I want to fix things. I know how she feels. She's just upset and still a little bit scared. Don't worry though. If things go south, I have a backup plan."He shrugged. "I don't think is this gonna work Veronica."
She rolled her eyes. "Trust me. It's gonna work. Now, what did you bring to eat?"
