When I woke up it was still dark. I could hear her talking to someone. Maybe it was someone else that wanted to kill me. His voice sounded kind of Russian, but I still couldn’t pick hers. I saw the light of my phone over the other side of the room. However, when I tried to get up I felt something electrocute me. So I felt around curiously trying to figure out what it was. I think about five minutes had past and I still hadn’t found it. So knowing me I got up again on a mission to get my phone. This time I succeeded. I had a message from Clara! She wanted to know if I was okay. In my head, I responded, of course I’m not okay I had been beaten and cut.
I almost forgot that she cut me! I realised that my neck was killing me. I felt for a scar. That’s strange, there was none. I thought she had cut me? I texted Clara back telling her that things were really weird and that the lady had cut me but there was no scar. As soon as it sent I heard footsteps coming towards me. I quickly threw my phone onto the table that I found it on and ran back to my bed acting as if I was still knocked out.
I heard the door open. And then that stupid lady was yelling at me again. What was her problem? She threw freezing cold water on me so I sat up as if I had just woken up. And because she liked screaming so much I started screaming at her asking her to speak English. So then she slapped me and it stung! That’s when I noticed that the man was standing there with a knife with blood all over it and his hand.
I didn’t quite understand why I wasn’t so scared. It must have been the blood I had lost. He tapped her on the shoulder and whispered something. I hate it when I have no idea what someone is saying. Anyway, he looked at me then whispered something else. Then, she nodded.
“Hello. I understand that you must be scared of Marian, but you shouldn’t be scared of me. I was the one that fixed up your neck. You see I am the only other person that knows about this place and I live in a room just like this. She is probably going to kill me after she does you and I will do whatever I can to get you out of here.”
I leaned over close to him and whispered," Thank you."
