Chapter 1

Uhh.It was Monday and we had school.What could be worse than this ?Oh yeah today was double math. Someone may as well take a hammer to my head.

Beep.Beep

There was Shelly outside waiting for me to get in her car. As I slowly walk outside I hear another door shut.I look to my left and see Jacob, my next door neighbor,also leaving his house.He looks my way and waves.I wave back, and think when I used to have a crush on him in 1st grade.Wow, he has changed so much.I finally make it to Shelly's car.

"What was that all about?"Shelly usually has a tend to over exaggerate lots of things.A simple gesture could be turned into fate suddenly showing you you were going to be dead tomorrow.

"Nothing.Just two neighbors waving at each other."

"Mmhm"

We get headed on the road at about 7:30 ,so we would make it in time for school to socialize. When we get there ,we scan our fingers to get inside.

Our society does things a lot different than what they used to say they did in history books . Before there were so many school shootings ,they decided to add security and now have made us scan our fingers to even get inside the building. It makes us feel like we are stuck in a prison ,even more than we already do.

Going into school we head to the gym and find our group there. Today I didn't really focus on the conversation I was too zoned out on my science homework to notice anything until Jacob comes up to me and sits beside me.
"Hey " I wonder to myself what he is doing here. Who cares ?

" Hey.Didn't finish your science homework? "

"No I totally forgot to.I was to caught up in things to remember."

"Here I remember the answers"
Jacob slowly takes the binder out of my hands and finishes writing down the rest of the answers.

"Thanks " I say .That just saved me of trying to come up with an excuse .
"No problem."
