Past Memories and Hopes

Part 4

Once everyone was at the house they went inside, Karu hesitating a moment because he didnt really fit in with everyone else.

Shinra walks up to him. "So you made it! Now we just have to wait for the last four. Hopefully Kahaku is okay alone." 

"I just pray he finds us all soon. It'd could get bad if he doesnt" Karu says and looks at her.

"Yeah. Inuyasha is getting on Neira's last nerve already."  Shinra says. 

"Dont surprise me. Kinda figured itd end up that way though im sure shes happy just to see him"

"I know i was happy to see my dad last night. Shinoku, Renee, and I appeared in front of Rin so i got to see him." 

Karu nods "Dont know that i want to see my dads right now. Not that i dont love them but itd be hard to explain things to them"

"Yeah. Dad flipped his shit when he saw me because i look so much like his mother. He thought i was her at first. I hate the fact that i look like so much like her." 

"Hey now your beautiful. You should be happy with how you look" Karu says, blushing fainting and thanking his darker skin for not letting it show.

Shinra blushes slightly her tail wagging slightly. "I never said i didn't think i was pretty i just don't like her. She wouldn't take me and my siblings in she said she was going to kill us all." 

Karu nods and shrugs "Suppose you have a point. But you ended up in a better place and im grateful for that"

"Me too. I got to have a great family and i got to meet and grow up with you." Shinra says blushing slightly. 

Karu nods 

Neira walks up to them "Hey guys having a nice talk i see?"

"Yeah.  So any idea when the others are going to arrive? I'm starting to get worried about them. Especially Kohaku who is probably alone." 

"No idea. I caught his scent before but i couldnt find him. No idea where he is right now." Neira says

"Shiro do me a favor and create a barrier around the house? Just being safe don't want Niroku being able to break in before we have a plan." Shinra asks. 

"Sure" Shiro  nods and creates a barrier around the house going a couple of feet around. 

Neira shivers slightly and her ears vanish "I think if he doesnt show up by tonight im going to go look for Koh. I cant just sit here and worry all the time. If he gets hurt ill just end up hating myself"

"Okay i'll go ahead and go with you if he  doesn't show up. It'll probably be safer if we stay in numbers." Shinra says. 

Neira nods slightly "Yeah your right."

Eanna walks through the barrier "Hey guys Ayumi, Yui, and I are here! Might want to take down the barrier for a second so Ayumi can get through" 

Shiro un does the barrier long enough for Ayumi to pass through than put it back up. 

Ayumi walks up to them "So whats going on?"

"Were waiting for Kohaku to show up. If he doesn't show up by nightfall me and Neira are gonna go ahead and go look for him." Shinra says. 

Ayumi nods "Makes since. Does anyone else know?"

"No we were gonna wait until you guys got here to tell anyone." Shinra says. "Hey guys can you come over here for a second?" 

Everyone walks over to them. 

Neira turns to them "Theres one more person who came back with us and im starting to worry so if he hasnt shown up by nightfall Shinra and i are gonna go look for him"

"Okay I'll stay on watch while you guys are gone since you two seem to be like the strongest kids that are here" Inuyasha says. 

Neira rolls her eyes "Everyone here is more then capable of defending themselves"

"You're such a little Kogame" Inuyasha says. 

Neira punches him square in the face "That might have to do with only knowing my father for five years out of 25"

Inuyasha rubs his face. "What was that for?!" 

"Your an ass thats what" Neira says then turns and walks away.

Shinoku and Shinro are sitting in the corner asleep. 

"Why are those two guys cuddling?! It's weird!" Inuyasha whisper yells. 

Karu smacks him "Oh shut up ass. Leave those two alone. Their not harming anyone"

"B-but their both guys.....?" Inuyasha says under his breath walking outside. 

Karu rolls his eyes, about ready to beat him into the ground.

Eanna walks up to him "Is he being an ass?" 

"Yep. Gonna find a corner to sit in and not hurt someone" He says and goes to do just that.

*time skip to nightfall* 

Shinra and Neira go out to find Kohaku. 

Neira keeps walking, not catching his scent anywhere. 

Shinra walks around in the opposite direction finding his scent but it is faint. "Hey i think i found his scent. But it's faint" 

In less then a second shes next to her "Yeah thats him but with how faint it is i cant tell if is the one form our time or his younger self"

"true we'd better go in this direction to make sure if it's him or his younger self."  She says 

Neira nods and starts to follow the scent

A couple minutes later the scent gets stronger. "I think that he is moving toward us." 

Kohaku sees Neira from a distance and starts running to her. 

Neira nods "Sure is" 

"Hey Neira! I finally found you! I had the weirdest conversation with my younger self." Kohaku says

Neira hugs him "You had me scared that something went wrong"

"I appeared near my younger self which was a whiles away from here is all. Naraku didn't find me though gladly and my younger self wasn't under his control at the moment." 

Neira nods "Im just paranoid"

"Yeah shouldn't we be  going towards the house?" He asks not sure which direction to go in. 

She nods "Yeah its this way" She says and starts to walk.

Kohaku and Shinra follow her to the house. 

Shiro sees them and turns off the barrier. "Hey you guys! Oh and Neira Inuyasha went into hiding so he wont be bothering you until the morning" 

Neira shakes her head "Yeah whatever. Gonna go lay down. Heads killing me" She says and heads inside

Kohaku follows her inside to lay down with her. 

Shinoku and Shinro are laying down together Shinoku fully human. 

Neira looks at them then lays down, a few feet away, more just laying there with her eyes closed. 

Kohaku lays down next to her falling asleep for the night.
