Green leaves fall and softly land on the pavement. People walk by and don't give a second thought to them.
Yellow leaves fall and a small girl takes notice of them. She walks to them and picks them up to look at them. They both have holes in them and as she looks at them she can see their little veins and the little specks of red starting to spread.
There she thinks 'this beautiful color being given to the human eye will never be seen bye the people that need it the most' she places the leaves at the base of the oak tree that stood proudly in the middle of the park.
Slowly she hugged the tree.
"Thank you" she whispered quietly as she closed her eyes. And at that moment the tree grew a little brighter and was forever recognized for its beautifully colored leaves.
