They got pregnant on December 29th, accidentally. She found out from having morning sickness, which at first her and Mike thought was her mono coming back but it ended up not being that, fatigue, sore boobs and slight mood swings (crying randomly and getting angry when things don't work out). After about a week of these signs Sam finally put the puzzle pieces together and told Mike. Mike went and got her a pregnancy test but before she could take it she finally wanted to tell Hannah she and Mike were dating and that she was probably pregnant. The same night she took the test and confirmed her speculations. Her parents reacted negatively, her father was extremely disappointed. Mike's parents weren't upset in the slightest, happy that one of their sons was going to settle down and have a family, as they never expected it to happen. Sam told Ashley and Chris, Hannah told Beth, Mike told Josh, Matt, Jess and Emily. Everyone, in the end, took the news greatly, Hannah and Josh both had to cope with the fact that the two weren't ever going to fall in love with them but they eventually did. About 3 months in Sam's mother came around and leased a house only 4 blocks away from theirs for her and Mike to move into. Sam decided to take a year off from going to post secondary so she could be around for the baby and Mike could work. They never ended up finding out the baby's gender because Sam wanted it to be s surprise. Sam was due on October 4th but she ended up going into labor on the 6th. For the majority of the time in the delivery room Mike and Emily were around but near the end Emily had to leave for a moment and she was left with Mike, Matt, Chris and Josh, great. When she had the baby only Mike was in the room however. They had a girl, which they named Harper Ava Munroe. Unfortunately, due to that fact Sam was only 19 when she had Harper, she was born with a pretty low birth weight of 5.3lbs. They had to stay in the hospital 4 days because of this, to make sure Harper was gaining weight properly. Beth and Hannah visited her everyday and Chris and Ashley 3 of the four days. Hannah came to help Mike get her and the baby home the day they finally got to leave the hospital. Having the baby at home wasn't as scary as either imagined it to be. Mike was a lot more helpful then Sam expected as well. He always was around to help when Harper was cranky or crying and Sam needed a break and he always woke up at night when she did too to make sure his girls were both okay. Neither felt over whelmed by her at any time. Having Harper made Ashley start to get baby fever which caused Chris to freak out. Emily, Ashley and Chris were around the most to babysit. Hannah however was the first to ever watch her alone. It went pretty well for how nervous Mike was to leave his baby alone with someone who wasn't Sam. They were a perfect, happy family. And Sam never regretted having a baby so young.
