You feel as if you're drowning in your own thoughts. There's millions & millions of them & you can't quite explain them.
"They're laughing at you"
"They're talking about you"
"Just walk past them"
"I hope they don't see me"
"I want to go home"
"Don't make eye contact"

You're palms get sweaty, your hands start shaking. Your breath becomes short while everyone else around you is still breathing. You feel flushed. Your complexion starts to become dull. You can't think straight, everything in your mind becomes dark, you're scared of those voices, you want to scream but you can't... You're all choked up.
