"I've heard enough, Ethan." I said, trying to keep the tears out of my eyes.

"Listen to me Ell. It was a mistake. It won't happen again. I love you and and I want you. More than anything else." he sounded sincere... But then again, he is a great lier. Sadly enough

"No. You blew it" I whispered into the phone

"Please Ell... Don't you love me?" he asked me, almost pleading. I winced at my nickname

I took a deep breath. "Yes."

"Then give me another chance?" I could imagine his big blue eyes pleading with me

"No.." I quickley choked out and hung up. Almost immediately the phone rang again, but I just ignored it.

        I can't believe this all happened. We were he perfect couple. We even had one of those ridiculous celebrity nicknames. Ellthan. Yes, dumb, but it was ours. I was in love with him. His bad boy attitude and attractiveness first caught my eye, but his 'personality' was what really made me fall. He wasn't afraid to hold my hand in front of his guys. He kissed me in front of everybody like he didn't care. I thought he was the one... But then, I saw it.

        I had gone over to Ethan's house to surprise him. He had given me a key to his house and I used it for the first time ever that day, only to walk in on him and my 'best friend' Heather going at second base. They obviously didn't hear me come in, so I just stood there and watched for a minute, waiting for one of them to jump up and declare that they couldn't do this to me, but no. All I got was Heather sticking her hands down Ethans pants andmoving it obscenely. 

"Well fuck me side ways, never would have thought that this could happen." I yelled at them

Heather immediately pulled her hand out of Ethan's pants and looked guilty. Ethan just looked dazed.

"E-ell it's n-not what it looks l-like" Heather blubbered out

"So what you're telling me is that you were NOT just trying to get into my boyfriends pants?" I spat out

She just looked at me like she didn't know what to do and I scoffed.

"Should have known this would happen. I mean, you two have SO much in common." I started sarcastically "For one, you're both whores."

With that note I turned on my heel and left my best friend of 5 years and boyfriend of 8 months behind.

I was pulled out of my memories when I heard his voice on the answering machine.

"Maize. I know you're mad, but you need to get over it. I mean, Heather is a knock out, and you're a total freeze. I have needs, babe. Call me when you decide to get over yourself." he told me in angry clipped tones

I felt like hitting someone. I felt like screaming and yelling and kiking and hurting him. I want to hurt him like he hurt me. I will show him that I didn't love him. And I would start tomorrow (Monday). Besides. Who the hell told him he could call me by my real name? No one? Ya. Nobody, not even my parent is allowed to call me Maize. She uses my middle name. Ell. So he can just go to hell. He'll see that I don't need him. Just you wait.
