Once everyone was settled and there was almost no sobbing the nurse came in and told us he had suffered a stroke.
My uncle took my sister and I out side to talk. The chill of the wind bit my skin as I sit on a small stone wall. He explained to us that there is possibility that we won't have a father anymore but the chances of that happening are very slim. He talked about when my grandfather had a stroke and died for 3 seconds but then lived. Then he told us that he was being moved to another hospital and we needed to go home to get stuff to bring for my dad and us.
We arrived home and changed. We got clothes for my dad and every thing we needed because we will be there for most of the night. Then we got back in his car and once again he speeded off running red lights and driving crazy, but this time to a new location. We went up this time a little less hesitant. When we went up there we had to wait in a small private waiting room. Once and a while we would go in to check on him, but most of the time we would spend talking and waiting.
It was around 12:00am when we left to go home but my mom and aunt would spend the night sleeping in the waiting room. I couldn't sleep that night and I'm sure no one else in the family could either. I kept tossing and turning, waking up, thinking about the horrors if my dad passed away.
