Chapter 8:

I woke up suddenly to loud noises in the kitchen, not knowing what the hell is going on, I get up and head to there. The sun beams through my bedroom window, "I wonder what time it is for the sun to be out already", I say out loud to myself. As I criss through the living room I notice lizzy at the fridge, she turns around, "good morning sunshine, figured id make you a healthy breakfast" she says smiling, "eggs,bacon and toast" she says. I walk to the couch and sit down, I feel like such a zombie today. I grab the remote and tuen on the tv.

Reporter 1: So this audio show was here last year correct?

Some reporter is asking some guy questions, my ears purk up. I stare hard at the tv.

Man: Yes, matter of fact kendra styles and her fiance were here about 2 years ago. I truly hope they come this year. Her slammed blue teggy and his dakota won the competion.

Reporter 1: wow sounds interesting, what show are you guys having this time and were

Reporter 2: well thanks serena for that live report, next up the case of max's disapperance. The fbi is puzzled, the seminole sherifs are puzzled, we even have a few investigators searching and noone can come up with clues on his wereabouts

My eyes fill with tears, not only is an audio show coming this weekend, noone can find a clue. This is insain, but that audio show sounds fun. Lizzy sits next to me and sets my plate in front of me, looks delicious, "thanks stacy" I say as I dig in. I set my fork down, "so this weekend...theres a crecendo audio show, were going" I tell her and grin a little, "the same show you and max went to and you won 1st he won 2nd?" she asks, "yup and I have the matrix now, I should win with that" I tell her smiling". I finish my breakfast and grab a cig out of my pack and head to the porch. Lizzy didnt fallow me because she knows I want to be alone for a few minutes. Im going crazy inside, I havent even washed my car nor have I done a cruise. I hate taking medication maybe I should fill that prescription. I light my cig and think. I think back to the funnest memory of us

" it was night time, the stars were twinkling in the sky. The moon was round and beaming onto the lake we were parked at. We decided to double duece it and meet at our secret hide out. My car was slighty touching the front of his truck, kissing bumpers I should say. We both were leaning against the front of our cars holding hands, "Baby I wouldnt be able to live without you, your my strength" I tell him, he looks at me, grabs my face with gis left hand and kisses my lips, "lets ride" I jump up and head to my driverside, "last one to walmart cooks dinner all week" I say laughing, "thats easy, looks like you gotta cook" he says sarcastically, "yeah right ill beat you" i say as I flick him off playing around. We both wind up getting to walmart at the same time. The drive there was crazy though, I felt free. I felt so happy"

Those memeries will never fade. As I take another hit, I pull my phone out, "3:25pm, better get to clothes shopping", I say out loud as I click on amazon. I order 12 outfits, nothing really fits me anymore and id rather have new clothes anyway. Im 1 month and 2 weeks, my belly is growing. I set my phone down and caress my belly, "allison I love you and just know daddy will be home soon" I tell her. I am tired of moping around, there has to be something to do, kinda wish my boss didnt give me a month off.
I walk back inside and sit next to lizzy, " we should do something" I say looking at her, "well we could always go for a cruise" she says smiling, "bass and cruise?" I ask, "yup lets do it" she says getting up. The door bell rings fallowed by a knock, "who the hell is here" I say out loud. I walk to the door and crack it a little, just enough to were I can see them and whoever can see me, "its chris, max's friend" chris says. I open the door wider, "whats up" I ask looking serious, "I need to talk to you, can I come in? Its about max, you may not believe me but I need to get this off my chest" he says, "fine come in" I say as I lead him in with my arm and hand.
He sits on the chair next to the couch, I sit down and lizzy sits next to me. He looks worried and nervous, I start getting nervous, "Do you believe in time warp?" he asks me, I smirk a little because I thought he was joking, "I am being serious this is no joke" he says as he leans forward, "that road....that corner is dangerous....along time ago" I grab my pack of cigs and light one, "along time ago a scientist name mel decided to try and make a time machine, that curve use to have a small building built in those woods. Hos wife died of cancer and he wanted to bring her back, so mel did everything in his power to build something that could warp him into the past" he says in a serious tone, "are you saying that all those disapearences of vehicles, my fiance was just a passerby and it happen to him?" i ask almost crying, "I dont know what to belive how the hell do you even know this" I ask another question, "Im an IT expert, I hacked into the government data base and pulled records of those incidents, the news stated it wasent the first time, noone ussually makes it back out, however you will see that person again but they wont remember you" he says as he sits back into the chair. The room turns into silance as I remember seeing a guy like max, then it dawned on me it has to be true, "chris I saw max at 711 and wound up in the hospital because I fainted" I tell him, lizzy cuts us off, "come the fuck on, really? I dont believe in this nonsense this is bullshit" she says as she stands up, "lizzy come on, you dont remember all those nights of us at the computer researching this shit?" I ask her, "well ok but still" she says as she sits back down.
Chris leans forward again, "I can lead you to the exact place were the building was, its a little further in near were he crashed, Every night or day at a certain time, the machine turns itself on and releases a time warp hole. The machine is burried deep into the ground, which is why sometimes you can hear a loud screech noise. Thats the machine messing up" He says, "I still dont know how its still on, it may be connected to some power source" he says. I get up and head to my frappa maker and turn it on. Noone says a word until my cup is filled and I sit back down.
I take a sip and exhale, "show us" I demand, "show us were the building was, because the other night we went out there and his truck was gone as if the accident never happen" I tell him, "ok lets go fallow me" he says as we head to the door, lizzy grabs my arm, "are you serious, can you really trust this dude" she whispers, "its my only hope" I tell her, "fine whatever" she says as she fallows me out to my car. This is insain, this never crossed my mind, but I did think something was off because of how it happen. The fog rolls in, his truck wobbled then flipped into the tree. It flipped as if something magnetized itself, then when he wrecked he must of been close enough to be time warped.
I unlock my car, get into the driver seat, lizzy gets in too. Chris already has his red civic started up rumbeling like a stampede. I start my car up, plug my iphone to to aux cord and wait for instruction. He backs out into the road, and pulls forward enough to were I can back out; and the get behind him. I throw the shifter in reverse and pull up behind him. He starts driving, "I still dont know about this" lizzy says, "Id rather us figure this out not him" she says, "what if we get caught up into the warp thingy, what if we disapear" she says. Shes right but still, I have to know. Chris pulls over on the side of the road were it happen, flashbacks fill my mind of him crashing. I take a deep breath and exhale.
