Chapter 4: Talented

Anastasia flipped her hair over her shoulder. She took a few steps and stopped. She closed her eyes and lifted her face to the ceiling. From the corner of her eye, she spotted a white piano she hadn't noticed before. Beautiful, she noted. She put her hands behind her back.

“I sense a spirit around this territory.” She whispered, “She isn’t happy by you building your house over her grave-site.”

All at once, the lights started flickering, the T.V turned on and started rapidly changing channels. The window shades opened and closed, shaking about in their nooks. The piano's case lifted and random keys were tapped. The Cullens stood up, frantically looking around. The men shielded their mates. Jasper was growling, ready to strike.

“What the hell is this?” Rosalie yelled.

A bundle of roses resting in a vase came out and started circling around Rosalie’s head. Emmett jumped and slashed at them.

“She doesn’t like your voice. You angered her.” Anastasia said, smirking at Rosalie.

“How is this possible?” Esme whispered.

“Her hands. That’s how.”

Everything stopped immediately. The shades closed and the T.V turned off. The roses dropped to the ground. The piano fell silent. Anastasia stared at Edward. She then turned and looked at Benjamin.

Benjamin shook his head, “Your mind is protected.”

“Yup!” Exclaimed Lucious.

Anastasia ignored Lucious and looked back at Edward, he looked smug. Giselle broke the silence with laughter.

“Well, this is a first!” she continued to giggle.

Fury flooded through Anastasia in an instant. She balled her hands into fists and glared at Edward.

“I don’t understand…” Carlisle said, “What did you mean by her hands, Edward?”

“Allow me to explain.” Edmund said, standing up and walked over to Anastasia. He put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed. Anastasia's glare held.

“Anastasia talent is like a telekinesis. She can move things without touching them with her hands, but she still uses them. It’s like an invisible extension of her hands.” He rubbed her arm.

“Extraordinary.” Carlisle said, “That was quite the show! That is the first time I’ve seen something physical like that. How are using your hands?”

Anastasia looked at Carlisle, then towards the flowers on the floor. She lifted her hand towards the roses, as if gesturing to them. She turned her palm down and pointed to a rose. She pointed up and the rose lifted off the ground, rising up. It twisted in the air and then floated towards Esme. When it reached her, it floated in front of her. She slowly reached out and grabbed the stem. Anastasia opened her hand and dropped her arm. Esme looked at the rose, then to Anastasia. Her hand still open towards Esme.

“That’s very amazing.” She whispered.

“It doesn’t need to be so emphasized, just a tiny movement of my fingers will work.” She explained, her voice a little detached.

Edmund looked over at Edward, “How did you know she was uses your hands? Benjamin said her mind was protected.”

“I could see the muscles in her biceps contracting.” He shrugged a shoulder and went back to leaning against his wall.

Lucious laughed, “Ha, it’s true.”

Anastasia glared at her brother. She raised her hand and flicked his forehead.
