Chapter Two

Chapter2-My New Lifestyle

"Yes! Finally done with the long 'Airport Business' Things!" My Dad exclaimed. I laughed.

"Why are you laughing dear?" My dad asked.

"You are being over-reacting Dad. It was only for 10 minutes" I laughed again.

"Hey! That was long enough for me to be impatient!" My dad said, laughing with me. When we settled down. The intercome spoke through the speakers.

"Flight 2750 Destined for London, UK is now boarding" The intercom said.

"C'mon, we wouldn't want to miss our flight, right?" Dad said.

"Yeah!" I said. I was actually pretty excited about this.

Once we were boarded and settled in our seats, I took out my iPod and put it in shuffle and closed my eyes.

"Miss. Miss, please wake up. We're about to land and we need you to straighten up your seat for your safety" The kind flight attendant said.

"Oh, thanks for reminding me" I thanked her.

When we landed, I was in awe of the view. London.

"C'mon Mika. Let's go to the new house!" My Mum interrupted me in my daydream.

I straightened my outfit and went toward my mun and dad who are patiently waiting for me at the exit.

"Coming!" I ran towards them.

"C'mon, let's just take a cab, since I'm getting a new car for us since there are 3 parking spots in our new house" Dad said.

"Woah! 3?! That must be huge!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah, it really is!" Dad said happily.

After the ride...

I was dumbfounded when I saw out new house, wait, scratch that, more like a mansion.

"Uhm, Dad this place is huge!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Mum said.

"Let's go inside." Dad said. We followed him and took a tour. Their was a spiral staircase and leads to 6 bedrooms. One for Mum and Dad, one for me, a game room, music room and the remaining are guestrooms. Every room has an own bathroom. And there was a movie room in the basement.

This was the life!

When I got to my room, I was in awe again.

It was in the color of black, red and white. Not to girly and just right. It fits me perfectly.

"Dad, Mum! Who decorated my room?" I asked them once I was downstairs again.

"An exclusive interior designer here at London. I asked it to be specially made for you." He winked.

"Awwww. Thank you! " I kissed them in the cheeks.

"Why don't you go out and explore? Tomorrow we will go to Manchester University." Mum said.

"Okay!" I said.

Since starbucks was only down the street, I decided to get coffee. When I entered starbucks, the girl behind the counter greeted me.

"Hi welcome!" She said happily.

"Hello" I greeted back nicely.

"May I take your order?" She asked.

"Of course. It's a frappucino " I said.

"Okay, That will we $6.50" She said.

I handed her a $10 bill and she happily served me.

"What will your name be ?" She asked.

"Mika" I smiled.

"Okay, I'll call you when it's done." She said.

"Thanks." I smiled.

I got a seat and waited for my name to be called.

"Mika!" I got up and thanked her and left the shop. I got a feeling this will be my new hangout place.

I explored a little of London and decided it was time to come home.

When I got home, I greeted my parents and rested a little, then I was called for dinner.

"How was you little exploration go?" Mum asked.

"It was fine I guess, I met a girl at starbucks and hoping I could get to know her name and know her better" I smiled.

"Oh. So are you enjoying it so far?" Dad asked.

"Yes. I can't wait to meet new people at Uni. I can't wait for tomorrow." I smiled.

"Glad to know your enjoying it here" Dad smiled. Then we continued to eat.

When I finished, I put my plate in the sinnk and told them I was going to sleep.

I took a shower and changed into my pajamas, which consists of shorts and a shirt..

After laying down in my comfy bed, I felt my eyes get droopy from time to time and decided to sleep.

I just can't wait to start Uni in two weeks.
