It took a couple of hours to explain to Desmond everything, but he believed every word that came out of Nathan's mouth. For some reason, he trusted the man. He already trusted him enough with his life. Lucy had left the two men to talk by themselves, now they stood in silence. Not really knowing what to say next, they just thought of their new life together.

Nathan figured that maybe he didn't need say anything, maybe he needed to do an action. He had been alone, the only person with him was sully..but now he had someone related to him. Someone he could start memories with. The idea made him smile, and he hoped that it made Desmond happy too. He walked up to Desmond and just wrapped his arms around him.

Desmond didn't think much about it at the moment, he just returned the action. Being in that god forsaken building alone was horrible, he needed a hug after all he has been through. Plus, his father and mother never hugged him like this. It was nice calling someone family, and finding out that they'll love you until the end of time. Desmond didn't even notice the tears running down his face, he didn't get enough time to wipe them away.

Nathan did the same, just smiled as tears fell from his eyes. They hugged each other tighter, hoping that nothing will stop this moment. A moment were they were both actually happy.

"I'm so glad you are here." Desmond said through the tears.

"I'm happy you're here." Nathan replied.

Nathan knew that the boy needed comfort so he let him hug him as long as he wanted to. He let the tears fall from his eyes, but at the same time reminded him that he was there for him.
