Ric left Last night and forgot his cell phone next to my bed.
I woke up this morning just staring at it.
I was bored, reading a few voicemails felt like something good to do when you're spending the whole day on a hospital bed.
Besides, Papa Rey went out to get my release forms.
Damn, Ric lied to her. And how she called him Chris like that. It actually made me want to throw up.
"Well, good morning there Miss Irana."
Dr. Fields. Shit. I must look like a hot mess.
"Ummmm... just call me Irana. No need for all that."

Ooh, so formal. This man is as fine as his word choice.
"So I heard you're leaving me in a few hours."
"Ha. You? I think you mean the hospital."
"Yes, but most importantly, me."
I had a puzzled look on my face. He was smiling and he tilted his head to the right side. It was so... Sexy.
"I'm sorry Doctor, but is this how you try to flatter all your female patients?"
"No ma'am, just you."
All this straight talk was just too much for me.
He bent down to my face, his lips were right above my eyes. Good Lord. Chocolate delight.
I gulped. He let out a soft chuckle and reached his hand into his pocket for a mini flashlight.
My heart sank. I'm such an idiot.
"Did you need a glass of water?"
A glass of water... more like a gallon! He came a bit closer, this time he held still within one inch away from my lips.
"Your eyes...they nearly kill me every time I look at you... and to be honest Irana, I wouldn't mind dying this way."
My throat was now Sahara desert dry.
"Heh...umm...I need to, ergh, use the bathroom if you don't mind."
He frowned a bit.
I slowly stood up, getting a grip on the bed handles when he reached out to my hip.
He had strong arms.
"Giiiiiiiiirl... You better get ready because Ric is about to -----"
