His eyes fluttered open and I almost jumped when I saw large silver eyes with unnaturally small black pupils.
Neither of us said anything, we just stared at each other. He tried to move and as soon as he did he let out of groan of pain. Not knowing what else to do I rested my hand on his head and gently held him down before saying with my calmest voice saying " don't move, you'll only aggravate your injury more." I felt him intense and let out a sigh. I tried my best not to meet his eyes, something about them made me uncomfortable. But I ended up locking eyes with him anyway and when I did he smiled and said " my name is Maurice." I smiled a bit before saying " my name is Annie"
