My name is Annie and I'm not like other girls. I'm allergic to the sun. I'm 18 and live in my parents mansion, but I'm not happy with my life. even though I have rich parents they don't care about me. they live in another house and leave me with the staff they hired to take care of me. but my life always gets better after the sun sets, and this is the story of how the darkness made my future bright.

It was my favorite time of day, sun set. My house was three stories tall and made of red bricks with a metal gate around the back yard. And on the other side of the gate is a trampoline. The trampoline is my special place. everyday after sunset I go outside and play on the trampoline in the moon light. most night I lay on the trampoline and watch the bats fly overhead. and sometimes it feels like they watch me. Tonight was no different, I went outside and watched the bats perform their graceful dance. they swooped and dived. but in the far distance there was a commotion as one bat fell from the sky and landed on the ground.

I jumped off the trampoline and ran to the bat. only to find that the bat was gone and in it's place was a boy. he was my age. he was pale and skinny with long curly black hair that was pulled back into a pony. he was dressed in suite pants and fancy shoes with a white button up. His eyes were closed and I could see pain wash over his face in waves. as quickly as I could i rolled him over to see he had a arrow in his back. I started to panic. the boy started to move and moan in agony. I carefully laid him on his back and rested his head in my lap. he laid silent for a moment before his eyes fluttered open.
