Camden was looking pointedly at me, expecting me to explain myself as soon as I got into the taxi. I ignored him and shifted to look out the window. The streets were passing by in a blur. I felt uneasy, as if leaving Scarlet was wrong. I wanted to scream at the driver to turn back around. But I didn't.

Our cousin, Paxton, was sat in the front seat chatting away with the driver. Oblivious to the stand off I'm having with my brother in the back seat. Trey, Ollie and Jake must be in another taxi.

Pax suddenly turned to me from the front and said "So, Zach, my man . . Last night. That chick! Don't worry mate. We won't tell. Whatever happens in a stag do, stays in a stag do!" he finished with a wink before turning back round to continue his conversation with the driver.

Cam shook his head beside me. "Gotta tell you bro, I was not expecting that from you of all people. Maybe me, but definitely not you. I am a total manwhore and I would never, ever get tied down but what you did last night. . . Man, I don't know what to say. You know I don't get on with Celine but she did not deserve that."

My phone bleeped and my heart lurched.

Stupid. It can't be from Scarlet. I did not even get her number. There was no way of contacting her. An act of self preservation on my part, I guess. I knew that if I had her number, I will contact her. I will pursue her. It was wrong. I fished my phone from my pocket knowing who its from. Celine.

Celine Hey future hubby! Hope you had a fun night. I'm late for work. Gtg! See you Friday when I get back. 😘

Classic Celine, always running late. I smiled to myself. She's a flight attendant in one of the bigger airlines. She's tall, blonde and leggy. Complete opposite of Scarlet. We met in one of the flights I took my parents on a surprise holiday for their anniversary. She was so sweet and attentive to my Mum and Dad. They hated flying. Upgraded all of us to first class. I took her number and asked her out to thank her for her kindness. We've been together for four years and we were getting married soon. I quickly texted her back.

Zach Hey Honey! Same old same old. Trey got bladdered. Jake got thrown out. Cam to the rescue as always. Drinks and more drinks! Have a safe flight and see you soon xx

Celine Sounds like fun lol. Got my hen weekend next week! Sun, sea and sand with the girls! Can. Not. Wait! Hope you behaved yourself Fiancé. Xx

Shit, I closed my eyes. What do I say to that? Do I lie? Tell her the truth? What have I gotten myself into?

Zach I am always behaved. Got to run hun. Train here. Be safe xx

I put my phone away. My mind in a turmoil. I have just lied to my fiancé. Fuck. Who does that? I looked over to Cam. He was silent as he glared at me.

"So did you tell her?" he asked.

    "Don't be stupid. Of course I didn't."

I noticed we have arrived at the train station. Cam quickly payed the driver then turned to me before climbing out, "I really don't understand why you two are so persistent on getting married. She cheated on you before! Now you cheated on her. Some couple you are. Way to start your married life bro," he finished.

I sat there in the cab unable to move. Cam was right. Way to start our married life
