A Beasts Love

Chapter 9

All the trees shook as the roar rumbling through the air. The black wolf stood there in all his mighty glory, coming to my rescue like a knight in shining armor.... And he didn't come alone. A wolf of equal size stood next to him, the other wolf was a dark brown with streaks of black through it. Power dripped off him like water and I watched as I felt my wolfs struggle not to submit. She was already flat on the ground blood pouring out of her open gashes but her eyes flamed with anger and I heard her growl deeply. Two of the three wolfs on her had submitted immediately and we both low of the floor but the third stood over my wolf like he owned her. Both the black and the grey wolf had taken steps towards him, there teeth bared and hackles up. The sun had peaked through the trees and I finally got a proper look at the wolves that had attacked me. Their furs were matted and blood dripped from their muzzles, fresh and dried up blood. I took a step towards my wolf , her head whipped towards me and she snarled

'Step back!' She hissed in my mind

" but.." I argued but she cut me off

' step back or you'll get me killed!' And I did I took a step back so I was able to see everything going on. The brown wolf was standing near the two submissive wolfs snarling and snapping at the two as the lay still in submission. The black one was circling the one that stood over my wolf,sizing him up my wolf threw herself up in to him and he went hurtling off of her. She tried to jump up but a shooting pain shot through her side and I flinched as I felt it in my side. I gasped from the pain and she made eye contacts with me understanding that I felt the same pain.

' merge' she commanded and I did.

She took over completely sizing her options, she new this black wolf was her mate and she desperately didn't want to leave him but she wanted to make sure if I was okay.

" I'll be fine just go to him" I whispered. I knew I would be fine but even if I didn't know apart of me,a human part wanted to go to him anyway and new he would take care of me.

The black wolf was snapping at the third wolf faster then my eyes could follow, they jumped around each other to avoid bites and tiffs of fur were flying and yelps of pain soon filled the air and my eyes caught my black wolf grab the other wolf by the neck forcing it to the ground. Blood dripped from the other wolfs neck as it desperately tried to claw it's way out of this situation but it failed miserably as it went limp in my mates jaws. My wolf yipped excitedly at the power of her mate but I wanted to recoil away from this beast that stood in front of me.

His yellow/ golden eyes met mine as he slipped into the tree line only to emerge moments later in shorts holding a large t-shirt in his left hand. His eyes were a glowing blue like I had seen before and it showed his wolf was still present. He marched towards me.

"Shift" he commanded pointing to the tree line and chucked me the top. I caught it in my jaws and slinked off towards the trees. Maybe I could run? I thought

" don't even try and run ill find you!" His husky voice yelled from behind me and I hurried to hide behind the trees.

I tried to shift twice but I couldn't get the hang of it. My wolf had practically turned into mushy peas at seeing how strong her mate was and I could hardly get a response yet alone instructions on how to shift! Okay I told my self. How hard can it actually be I mean ll I have to do is be human right? Okay what can I do that makes me human? Oh god I have no idea!

" please help?!" I begged my wolf and she purred in response

' he was so strong, and graceful and powerful!' I groaned

" if your not gunna help me he is going to get annoyed and hate you!" I hissed at her, I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to be human anytime soon. She let out a annoyed growl,

' for god sakes! Just picture yourself ! You anger me sometimes' she muttered the last bit and I rolled my eyes, how come I got stuck with the sassy wolf? But I followed her instructions and after a couple minutes of imagining me my body started to shifts and slots back into the right position. The change back was uncomfortable to say the least. I threw and the t-shirt that covered me perfectly and smelled like 'him' which made my wolf yip in glee. I slowly took a step out of the tree line to find two guys standing there. One of the guys was the pale blue eyed one and the other had brown hair like mine and had soft greeny blue eyes.he smiled at me gently while the man with the pale eyes wore a pernement frown on his face...fun.

"Hey there sweetie what's your name?" The smiling one asked me sweetly his voice like honey. I was debating whether to answer of not when my wolf chimed in

'Answer so our mate can hear our name' I mentally rolled my eyes at her

' he is your mate and its not out name it's mine!' I sighed giving in knowing that she would bug me if I didn't

" my name is Reagan what yours...." I was cut off

" what the hell do you think your doing! Huh?" Snapped the pale eyed guy "you think it's fun to run around the woods? What if you had got killed?! " his pales eyes were slowly turning in to a glowing neon blue again.

"Rylan" the smiling guy warned a frown threatening to take over his face.

'Rylan? A name fit for a warrior' my wolf purred in my head

' will you shut up?! Your not helping!' I smiled sheepishly ' it is a cute name though huh?' I heard my wolf purr

" look at that smile she isn't even listening to me!" I heard Rylan sigh throwing his hands in the air. He pointed directly at me

" you are lucky I was hear to protect you" he said before turning to head towards the trees

" you always will be" I whispered and then silently hit myself in the face because I let my wolf get past me and say those word that technically weren't MY words come out my mouth. I saw Rylan hesitate for a second before disappearing into the woods. I took a step to follow him but smiley was standing in front of me.

" I wouldn't , he need to run it off. I'll take you to the pack house, he'll be there soon." He said turning in the opposite direction of Rylan. "I'm Nunuk but everyone calls me Nuka." He smiled back at me.

" why are you helping me? I'm not in your pack or anything..." I sighed as my wolf was off in la la land dreaming about her mate I couldn't blame her really I felt like I was there myself even looking at Rylan made me feel like that.

" because..." Nuka hesitated slightly and looked back at me, gulping. The guy looked at least 2 years older then me and his bare chest was tanned but thankfully he was wearing shorts.

" because I'm your brother Reagan"

And la la land came crashing down.
