I woke up to the feeling of warm breath on the back of my neck. Cas was spooning me, naked.

"Oh dear god," I thought. But it was too late to go back now, and I couldn't help but smile at him. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep. He really should do that more often.

I sat up on the bed, careful not to wake him. I dug through my backpack and got out a pair of jeans, a brown flannel, and a light gray shirt, and got dressed quickly. Cas was still sleeping, so I figured I'd do a short breakfast run. I left a note in case he woke up, explaining that I didn't "hit it and quit it" and that I was just going out for a few minutes to get food. Although I doubted that he even knew what I meant by that.

I drove to the nearest McDonalds and pulled up into the parking lot, climbing out of the car and locking it. The fast food restaurant was quite big and full, since it was located right next to the highway, and it had two pairs of counters: one for ordering and one for picking up your food when it was done. I stood in line for a few minutes, since the old lady in front of me seemed to have some problems with her credit card, and I was fairly annoyed when it was my turn to order.

"Three cherry pies and four egg McMuffins," I told the employee.

"Sir, that'll be $13.83."

I pulled out my wallet and handed the guy the money when I noticed an oddly familiar smell, like rotten eggs, just as another employee walked past with a paper bag that she handed to another customer.

"Sulfur! Demons!" my hunter's brain screamed at me. "Don't be ridiculous, this is a McDonald's, of course it smells like rotten eggs," I told myself and absently stuffed the change in my pocket. The guy also gave me a small piece of paper that said "74" and explained: "You see the monitor up there? When your number appears in the right column, you can come and pick up your order over there."

He pointed over to the other counter and I just nodded and sat down at one of the empty tables.

I had to wait for a few minutes until the bright yellow "74" on the screen told me that I could go and finally get my pie.

The girl behind the counter was the one that I had seen walking past just a few minutes ago, and she reeked of sulfur. That couldn't be a coincidence; she had to be a demon. But she didn't seem to recognize me nor was she about to attack any of the customers, so I decided to wait until no more civilians were around that could get harmed. And also, I had to make sure first.

"Your number, please," she told me and I handed her my piece of paper. Then, right as she turned around to get the bags, I mumbled "Christo" under my breath, quiet enough so that no human could have heard it from that distance. The girl didn't react much, but she flinched at the word, proving that she was indeed a demon. But in a whole restaurant full of people, she couldn't figure out who had said it. Instead, she just handed me my two paper bags with a smile that was clearly faked and wished me a nice day.

After a short drive, I arrived back at the hotel and found Cas in the bed, still sleeping. He looked like an angel, maybe because he was one. I got under the blankets with him and kissed his forehead. Cas groaned and looked up at me.

"I thought angels couldn't sleep," I pointed out.

"We have no need to sleep," he mumbled, "That does not mean we can't."

He smiled at me and I kissed him again.

"I got us breakfast and a job. There was a demon working fast food."

"Let's call Sam and have him help."

I grinned at him, "No, I want to spend my day with you. Sammy can wait."
