The gentle sway of the wind in a meadow,
Caressing my face
With a soft blow.
Loving you is like
The bright rays of the sun,
Giving me light
Before the moon makes you run.
Loving you is like
The soft pitter-patter of the rain,
Making me wish
That you will always remain.
But,
Loving you is like
The thorns of a rose,
Making me bleed
And remember my flaws.
Loving you is like
The waves of a stormy ocean,
Tearing everything apart
Like a beast might kill a man.
Loving you is like
A never ending nightmare,
Waking me up at night
Dreading there might be a snare.
I thought I hate you
But I couldn't do that to you.
Because the only thing keeping me alive
Is loving you.
