The next day, Ben started acting weird. He distanced himself from me, and wasn't as attentive as usual. He was always checking his phone too, that was a bit odd...
I don't know whether it was because of last night.
Maybe I came on too strong.
Maybe I was a handful, I can be sometimes.
Maybe he realised I'm not great, and that he can do better.
I don't know what it is, but it's stressing me out.
"Ben?" No reply. "Oh Ben?" Still no answer. I clicked my fingers in front of his face, "Ben."
"Wha- sorry. I wasn't listening."
"Really? I guessed. What the hell is wrong with you? Why are you acting strange? Is it because of last night? Is that way? Because I can stop doing whatever I did, I swear! Just please don't be acting funny with me, you're my only friend!" I begged him.
"Alex I'm sorry, you're fine! I just have a lot on my mind. Sorry."
"A lot on your mind? Like what? Are you planning on marrying me?" I joked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Now isn't the time Alex. Just give me some space..."
