A/N: Can I just say that the first chapter was really sad? I thought it was too. But maybe things will get better. You will just have to read to find out :)

Enjoy!

*Violet*

Don't worry Violet. Everything will be fine. Just because she didn't call you back the next morning doesn't mean she is dead, right? I mean she wouldn't leave me, would she?

"Violet! Your breakfast is ready!" My dad called and it knocked me out of my thoughts.

"I am not hungry!" I yelled back.

I am almost never hungry anymore, but it is not like I am starving myself.

"Violet! Your food is getting cold," My mother called back to me. Apparently, they hadn't heard me.

I got up from my chair and picked up my phone. I pressed the power button and then I got a late message from Marley.

Marley: I'm sorry.

Received at 7:31 p.m.

That was last night! I quickly typed in a reply.

Me: See you at school today :)

I put my phone in my pocket and ran downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and saw my mom standing there with her hands on her hips.

"Your food is cold," My mother stated. I walked over and touched the food with my finger and sure enough, it was cold.

"I wasn't hungry anyways," I replied while walking to go get my backpack, "Sorry."

I heard her sigh and she walked with me.

"How is Marley?" She questioned.

"She broke down again last night. I feel really bad for her. Hopefully, we will talk at school today."

I then smiled and my mom smiled back in response.

I looked out the window just in time to see the school bus hauling to a stop. I put my backpack over my shoulder and ran to the door.

"The bus is here! Bye!" I waved to my mom.

"Bye!" She replied.

I ran out the door and to the bus doors. The doors came flying open and I walked in to hear a girl crying. I slowly made my way to the back of the bus where the crying was coming from and I saw her. My best friend, Blue was crying. I tilted my head to the side confused then I sat down beside her.

"What's wrong?" I asked taking out my phone to see Marley still hasn't replied back. Maybe she forgot her phone at school. I shrugged off the thought and it went straight to Blue. "Are you okay?"

"S.. she died..." Blue sniffled. What was she talking about?

"Who died? Please don't tell me it was your mom," I pleaded. She looked up at me wiping away her tears.

"No, my mom is fine. It... it was..." She dosed off and started sobbing again.

"No, no, no, don't cry. No need to cry. I am sorry for whoever you are crying for. I am sorry."

"No, I am sorry." She answered.

"What are you sorry for? You didn't do anything." I looked at her with confusion.

"It was-" She stopped in the middle of her sentence when the bus came to a screeching stop. We are already at school? I thought.

I sighed and got up from my seat and walked with Blue into the school. I looked at Blue to see that she had stopped crying.

"So do you want to tell me or not?" I nagged. She looked at the ground to hide her face.

"Yes," She whispered, "My.. Umm.. cousin died." She coughed then.

I ruffled my eyebrows together while looking the opposite way. Somehow, deep inside me, I could tell that she was lying. But like I always do, I don't go with my first instincts. She wouldn't lie to me, would she?

"I am so sorry. If there is anything you need, just call me." I smiled and she smiled back weakly.

"I will."

We finished walking and when it was time to go our separate ways, we stopped to say goodbye. I looked at her and she hugged me.

"See you later, Violet." She said then let go of the hug.

"Bye." I smiled. After a moment we walked our separate ways and I looked at my phone. Still no reply.

I had a feeling it was going to be a weird day.
