Truth. That word echoes in Edward Elric's head daily. The smug bastard was probably grinning as he watched the young Elric brothers through their journey. He hated it, he hated the feeling of helplessness. If they never tried to perform that stupid Transmutation then they never would have had this happen to them.they would have never had everything they worked for ripped away from them. And it was all Edward's fault.
" Fullmetal, pay attention." Roy said coldly. Edward snapped out of his thoughts, wishing he could beat up his commanding officer. Roy Mustang. The name sent shivers down Edward's spine. Not only was he a well known state Alchemist but he was also the one man Edward happened to have a crush on. None the less the teen did as instructed, much to Edward's utter disappointment. " Now that we have you back to Earth Fullmetal," Roy said, his elbows resting on his desk, " I belive you have to explain to me why I never got a report on what you've uncovered about the stone." The smug tone never leaving the Colonels voice.
" There was nothing to report." Edward said lifting his chin up in defiance. Mustang didn't believe him. Why should he? They were talking about Edward Elric, the most stubborn person on the planet. " Edward, just tell me what you found." Edward shook his head. " It doesn't concern you Colonel." Edward said, his voice firm. Roy glared at his subordinate but said nothing.
Edward had found something, it wasn't of real importance to either of them. Edward just wanted, no needed an excuse to stay in the room. This place had to be a gateway of some kind. Ed just couldn't Crack the code.
