Death was a thing Edward had experienced at a young age. His mother ( the woman who cared for them beyond anything) Nina and Alexander ( The little girl who's spirit was almost as strong as Edward himself, and the dog who stuck by her side no matter what) Maes Hughes ( The man who treated Ed as if he was his own son)

There were many people Edward had seen die. Many people he cared about, many people who didn't deserve to die. Lile Slicer and his younger brother. Even while they were considered hu,an they still died to fast. They could have been accepted but instead they chose to die.

Ed hated this endless cycle of death, watching everyone he loved and cared for die in front of him. Now Al was gone too, he wasn't physically gone but he may as well be dead. His younger brother left to go live with May Chang in Xing, the country east of the desert.

He stood in front of the grave of his mother. His eyes dark as he kept his head bowed. " Mom....please....don't tell me he's going to be gone too." He whispered, his voice being carried away by the soft breeze of the fall air. His golden hair swpet to one side as it blew and the leaves flew past him peacefully. Fall was one of Eds favorite seasons. It reminded him of alot of things. One of which being flames.

It was easy to see why. The leaves turned a dark red thst almost looked like a fire when they blew in the air. That wasn't the only reason they reminded him of fire though. He was around Roy Mustang, the Flame Alchemist. Thst alone was an easy enough conclusion for Edward tk deduce. He loved Fall yet he hated it st the same time. Fall reminds him of Mustang, and like the endless cycle went Roy was gone. Just like everyone else he loved. The flames were beautiful, yet deadly. Roy played with fire, he got to close to the sun, and he burned. Thst was all that was left of him when Edward found him, a body torched, the only recognizable detail was his state watch.

Death was a cruel thing. Ed was just waiting for his turn in the cycle,
