I was walking down the hall to my locker when I ran into Kira. "Hey so remember when you said you would come over so my parents wold believe I have a friend?" She asked with a cheesy smile. "Not in those exact words but yeah I kind of do." I said as I opened my locker. "What are you doing tonight?" She asked. "I guess I'm going over your house." I said as I put books away in my locker.
We walked during our lunch period outside as I told her about Beacon Hills. "Is that your brother over there?" She asked pointing at Stiles. "Yeah, we don't look much alike except for the eyes." My phone buzzed and it was my dad telling me he wouldn't be home for dinner. When I looked up Kira was over where Stiles and Scott were sitting.
"And what do they call you?" Lydia asked Kira in a bitchy tone "Kira, or to you new kid since you don't give a shit about anyone but you and your new BFF." I said in a snarky tone. Everyone at the table gave me a look of shock even Isaac. When we made eye contact I quickly looked away.
"Where are my manners? Kira that's my twin brother Stiles, my best friend Scott." I pointed to the two boys. "You already met Lydia." I said with a smile. "Then there is dickhead one and two." I pointed to Isaac and Alison.
"Back to the conversation though, Kira." I said trying to get her to talk to more people.
"All the stuff you guys were just saying? All that happens in Bardo." She explained.
"There are different progressive states where you can have hallucinations.
Some you see, some you just hear.
And you can by visited by peaceful and wrathful deities." She explained and the scary part was it all has happened to the three amigos who died and came back.
"Wrathful deities? And what the hell are those?" I asked.
"Demons." Kira said.
- Why not? " Stiles muttered. "Hold on, if there are different progressive states, then what's the last one?" Alison asked.
"You die." Oh lovely.I was walking down the hall when I heard my name called. I turned and saw it was Lydia. "Hey what the hell is up with you?" She asked me. "You have been so stuck to Alison you don't have the time of day for me, that bestie of yours is the reason Isaac and I broke up, but you were too busy shopping with the bitch to even know. " I snapped at her and walked away before I slapped her.
I was at home looking through my drawers for a good outfit when I saw a shadow at the doorway. I turned and it was Scott. "Hey, I wanted to stop by and ask why you came over yesterday?" He asked as he walked in my room and sat on my bed.
"Well I kind of felt guilty for kissing you so Is... Isaac's sake but I got over it." I said and I found the skirt I was looking for. I had a nice white sweater on and wanted the black skirt to go with it. "I was wondering if you wanted to talk about what happened after the funeral." He asked acting a little awkward. I put the skirt over my jean I was wearing trying to change quickly. "What about it?" I asked him as I pulled down my jeans so I was only in a skirt. "Um well, what did it mean?" He asked me unsure about the kiss. "Well it shows I have feelings for you, I don't know if you felt the same or just trying to get over Alison. It was what you want it to be." I tried explaining as I slid on my boots. "Well think about what I said, I have to go to Kira's so her parents know she has made a knew friend." I said as I walked down the stairs.
I drove up to Kira's house and it was a beautiful house. I knocked on the front door and my teacher Mr. Yukimara opened the door. "Jackie, nice seeing you again. How much did Kira pay you to come". He joked. "Not enough." I joked as I walked in. "Dad, I said I got the door. No need in scaring my only friend away." Kira yelled as she came down the hall. "Hey Jackie, you can come to my room until dinner is ready." She said as she took my hand and walked away from her dad.
"You wouldn't believe how many friends I've lost because my dad was a teacher." She said as we got to her room. "Really? You won't believe how many friends I've lost being the sheriff's daughter." I said making her laugh. "So are their any guys you like at Beacon Hills so far?" I asked her jumping onto her bed. "Well there is one guy but I think he has his eyes on someone else." She said in a sad tone. "Tell me and I will set you guys up." I begged. "It's your friend Scott, but he is always staring at you whenever I see him." She said making me blush. I didn't realize he actually looked at me during class like that. "I'm sorry but Beacon Hills is filled with some cute guys, he isn't the only hot fish in the sea." I said making her laugh at what I said.
"Girls, dinner is ready!" We heard coming from the kitchen. As we walked down the hall I got a text from stiles.
S: 911, remember your classmate Malia Tate from elementary school who died in a car crash? Well Scott and I think she is Alive, as a werecoyote. Call me.I froze for a second thinking that I just heard of a werecoyote, crazy. " Kira, I need to go. I'm so sorry my dad texted me from the police station saying he needs me. I'm really sorry." I said and walked out the door.
I drove to my house meeting Scott and Stiles there. "So explain to me exactly what you found out." I asked them as I got out of my car. "Basically Malia turned into a werecoyote the night of the crash and has been for the past eight years. " Stiles said. "How exactly will dad be able to explain that to Mr. Tate?" I asked. The boys didn't give me an answer just unsure looks. "But we are developing a plan to change her back. " Stiles said. "Okay but once you guys figure the plan out just tell me." I said and ran upstairs.
The next day in history I was sitting with Kira explaining why I had to leave. "My dad honestly thought he scared you away, until I told him your dad was the sheriff." She told me. "I feel horrible though running out on that. " I said as the bell rang. Then Stiles and Scott took the two seats next to me. "Stiles could you come up and read the next chapter to the class?' Mr. Yukirmara asked. "Could you pick someone else?" He asked. "No everyone participants in this class." He said.
Stiles slowly walked up to the podium and starred at the book for a while. He was struggling to read I could tell. He looked like he was about to pass out but before I could do anything Scott came to the rescue. I sat there the rest of class thinking what was wrong. Of course neither one of the guys answered my text messages. Thanks.
When the bell rang the two of them haven't came back yet so I figured I would take the bags to their lockers Kira came from behind. "Hey need help?" She asked looking at the bags. 'Yeah thanks." I said as we walked through the doors. I looked ahead and saw on the stairs a coyote. "Don't make sudden movements.'" I whispered to Kira but I think it heard me when it growled. We ran into the locker room and dropped all our bags running. Hiding behind lockers wasn't smart but our only defense. I had a pocket knife in my bag which I couldn't get a hold of. The animal was creeping behind the lockers and I signaled Kira that we'll try and sneak out. Until I bumped into Scott who pushed the lockers down. "Thanks." I said and hugged him scared for my life.
I was waiting in the hall waiting for my dad. I looked down at my phone and felt arms wrap around me. I knew it was Scott or Stiles, when I turned it was Stiles with a look of terrified on his face. "Are you okay? You could've been killed!" He said but I just smiled. "Out of all the cautious in Beacon Hills I wouldn't go out by a simple animal attack. ". I smiled. "I'm going home though text me about any updates, okay?"
