She falls to the floor,

unable to speak,

words,

running around her mind.

She gasps for air,

nearly suffocating,

what did she do to deserve this.

Her fingers trace the hearts,

she drew on her wrists,

when she told herself she didn't need him.

Slowly she picks herself up,

and tries to carry on,

but something is a burden to her soul,

unbeknownst  to the world.

She plasters a smile,

on her face,

and walks out the door each morning.

Her heart's heavy sigh,

won't be heard,

nor the breaking of its pieces.

A smile hides it all,

like a dark cloak on a dark night,

casts its invisibility.

NOTE****

BEHIND EVERY SMILE IS A DEEPER STORY, SOMETIMES ALL SOMEONE NEEDS IS A HUG AND FOR SOMEONE TO TELL THEM THEY KNOW THEY AREN'T OKAY. <3<3<3
