I highly suggest that you listen to this song AS YOU READ THE STORY!
(Will have to open a new tab or listen through YouTube as you read). I feel that it will add great emotion to the story, as I did write the story while listening to this song. If you don't want to, that's OK, however, as the author, I feel that you will get the most emotion out of this story if you listen to the song as you read-
I remember our first date like it was yesterday. I remember the coffee shop we met at. I remember seeing you for the first time, walking through the door in your white shorts and navy blue lace top. I remember your eyes when they met mine. I remember the butterflies that engulfed me, and I remember walking up to you and saying hello.
Our friendship quickly grew into something more, something that you and I both desperately wanted. Love. My violent craving of wanting to be loved by someone had been fulfilled when I met you. You completed me in every way, shape, and form and everything that I lacked in, you made up for. We were perfect for each other, you and me; Us against the world.
But over time, although I did not express it outwardly, my love for you started to dissipate. My heart became conflicted and I didn't know what to do. My heart says I no longer love you, but my mind says I do. Trust me my love, this is not you, but me. I don't know what to do. You still clearly love me, but I do not love you, and I wish I could say I did. This is the end of us. Please my love, turn around, walk away, and never look back, because if you do, you will be met with silence, as I am already long gone.
