"Oh yeah, life goes on.
Long after the thrill of living is gone." John Cougar blared from the empty apartment. Michael and Mandy carried the large sofa up the winding staircase 7 floors up. "Oh, sweet Jesus." Mandy said dropping the sofa in the middle of the living room and wiping the sweat from her brow. "What's the matter honey? I thought you liked a good workout." Michael said chuckling. "Oh yeah, I did say that didn't I? Well that wasn't a workout, that was backbreaking labor." She said through hurried breaths, plopping down on the couch. Michael laughed and plopped down next to her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. "Don't worry, just a few more days of heavy lifting and we will have officially moved into our own apartment. Can't you just see it now?" Michael asked holding his hand out and gesturing toward the spacious living room. Mandy lifted her head and followed his hand, the living room was practically empty. The only things that were there was the black leather couch on which they sat, a small television in the floor, and over by the large window, Michael's guitar. Mandy remembered when she got it for him for his 19th birthday so he could start his own band in the image of his idols 5sos. She took another look around the room. "Yeah," She said with a sarcastic laugh. "I can see our 5 star apartment now, with big lights and gorgeous curtains, and only the best mahogany furniture."
"That's the spirit!" Michael exclaimed. They both began dying of laughter, and after a few moments things calmed down again. Mandy lay with her head on Michael's chest, eyes drooping from exhaustion. Michael lay with his back to the arm of the couch and one leg propped up. "No, but seriously though babe, in a few days this will be our own little perfect home." He said looking around the room. "Mhhmm, that's nice, sweety." Mandy said drifting off into a much needed sleep. After a few minutes Michael followed her example, and drifted off into a dream filled rest.
