The Mind Games

Time for Some Action

I had often hated working in the forces, mainly because  of the rules, restrictions but also because of Mindless junkies like Tony holding High positions and doing nothing except showing off!!
Well if that joker thinks he has an upper hand over me then he's truly mistaken , all I really have to do is give a buzz to enter inside and see that shocked expressions on his face but Nicky's " close friend" saved me from that call.

" Dan!! just the person I was looking for!!
I had called in your office only to hear that you'd already left for LA.." 

Mike spoke as he shook my hand and gave me a formal half hearted smile , he looked deeply shaken and yet looked as handsome as ever , even in those casual tees and a pair of jeans, his hair were a mess and his sea-green eyes looked bloodshot red and puffy!! Michel Stevens , a superstar himself was rumoured to be dating Nicky if you go by the Grapevine.
Anyways the good news was that Nicky's friend/boyfriend himself wanted me in the case, even better!!
Tony's face would definitely be worth watching. As I passed by him I couldn't help giving him one of my nasty smirks meant exclusively for the Pricks like him. On our way to the bedroom where she was found dead, I had a short interview of sorts with Mike after all he was as much a suspect as anyone else ,close to the victim . He told me his own version of what exactly happened , which I heard keenly,one thing I was sure about by the end of it , was one of the two possibilities , either he was too close to her because  he seemed too choked up while talking about her OR he was a pretty good actor!! And of course the entire country vouched for the latter so I'd have to be extra careful around him!!

After a lot of climbing around, My cameraman finally got a perfect view of the room...now all I had to do was get close enough to it to give my special cover, which was easier said then done .I was so envious to see Dan entering the room like it was a cake walk for him, with Nicky's Boyfriend himself leading him in, I wish I could just hear half of their conversation, that itself would have been an exclusive from me so I followed them as closely as I could and while I was at it before entering the room Dan did something that took me off-guard!! Before entering in, that being the end point for anyone except the officials allowed in, which only included the FBI , LAPD and..well DAN!! 

He looked right back and winked at me,

What was that for??? did he know they were being followed???

despite me being sooo careful...God was he actually that good??

My head was suddenly spinning and I was for the 1st time feeling tired and exhausted from the journey!!

Going right back to where my cameraman rolled in!!
I did my evening exclusive reporting about the chaotic situation and Mike's POV on the situation captured in the camera as well as the ones I had heard with my own ears!!

Both of them are good at their job, I have to admit, from the way they made their way into the crime scene and "getting their own exclusives" so I guess Its time to bring in the Twist...Playing Games is always fun isn't it??

or wait should I let them enjoy their 1st Victory and then throw my cards??

I am more inclined towards the latter...it would be more fun that way...

Two are already playing the game...

3 would definitely be a "great" company!!
