A Date with The Victim

Inside, thankfully everything had been left untouched, the place was surrounded by M. E.s , LAPD n FBI ,I exchanged brief pleasantries with some officers I knew from my FBI days and sprang into action, my 1st impression of the place suggested that the victim was clueless of any fore coming danger,and in fact knew her killer because there was no evidence of forced entry,and yes it was definitely murder and not suicide or self inflicted injury because the picture in front of me was pretty ugly,gone was that charismatic face,it has been mutilated badly,her dress was torn in places and she had been carefully seated on a chair against the window facing towards the door of the room, so that she comes fully in sight the moment a person enters the room,whats more right across her corpse on the table was placed a small placard which read

" All that glitters isn't gold...

your true face's finally exposed..."

Someone desperately wanted to prove a point here and maybe reveal her dark secrets? if so why and exactly how?
by killing her???
that didn't make any sense if someone wanted to tarnish her image then why kill her??? rather mutilate her so badly...

observing the minutest details many questions floated in my mind, it was evident that the victim was mutilated on the floor, her blood was all over the place, their were marks which indicated that she had been dragged to the chair and seated in this position ,after her death,but why?? I took as many blood samples as I could and took photographs of anything and everything which might be useful ,the techies working around were kind enough to tell me that the killer was smart enough ,the only fingerprints available throughout the room were Nicky's and no one else's it was like no one ever came ,even the placard on the table had been typed and not written!!

The murderer we were dealing with was definitely cunning and careful ,and seems that the guy loves playing games, just when we were about to leave David my ex-boss came upto me and handed me something, Dan its addressed to you, I could suddenly sense the entire room's eyes on me as he slipped the envelop into my hand , it was sealed ,and on top of it was a small slip on which " to Daniel Wood" had been typed.
I could feel something was definitely in there and it was definitely not paper, a CD maybe??

I was about to wrap up for the day and leave when I received a text message from an unknown no.

"want an exclusive that would blow your mind? something no one's come across yet? Dan's got something very important ..I am sure you'd love to know what is it.

xoxo a well wisher"

I stopped right there and bit my lip ,
whats going on here,
"a well wisher??
" who's my well wisher here???

things were suddenly getting way too exciting as I saw a dumbfounded Dan coming out with an envelop of some sorts held in his hand,so it was true, he did come across something ,he came right where I stood

"Miss Rosalie Bradford ,you are needed inside right now, there's something you've got to see because  well ...its addressed to us ...I mean You and Me!!"

suddenly the entire LA population 's eyes were fixed on us,it seemed, the forces, media alike were hawking us like we were some sort of aliens and I could feel not only mine but Dan's cheeks flush out of embarrassment,what now????

Unknown to these suffering fools, a man blended so easily in the crowd ,he was smirking, step 1 accomplished , the game's begun,have fun solving the puzzles, and oh I so love those expressions on your faces , Dan-Rose this is  just the beginning, and I am already loving it!!

Grabbing Rose's hand I took her inside the house , where we could some how get a bit privacy and peacefully see whats in store for us, thankfully she didn't protest, she seemed as embarrassed as me, what with literally the entire city's eyes on us, I scrapped open the envelop inside which was a single CD and a note

I want miss Bradford to release the contents of the CD live for the audience outside..

the world has the right to know who their beloved Nicky really was!!

And Mr. Woods watch the video carefully you might get a clue or two..
