Date night, August 2012.
We all went to the movies, there was a huge line outside of the theater.
Jai and Luke were deciding on what to watch, "The campaign!" "No! Lets watch something scary!"
Beau was all by himself. Without Manda he was quite a cranky guy. Manda went to Canada, unfortunately. Jordane, Mallory, Jen, and Daniel were trying to embarrass all of us by singing "The Way" at the top of their lungs. They did this weird dance that involved their hands above their heads and their feet in a quick back and forth motion. I remember that Jen fell causing Jordane to trip. Mallory and Daniel were laughing so loud, they both helped the two clumsy ones up and started dancing again. James and I were just watching everyone and laughing at the dancers, and we were also trying to hear the twins make up their minds on what to watch.
Beau being his angry self stomped over to James and I, "Why did Manda have to leave? Why couldn't she stay here? I have room for her in the house!" When she is gone he only talks about her! Beau and his girlfriend loved each other. It was kind of weird seeing him by himself, they were either tickling each other or kissing. Most times it was too much.
"She had to go! She hasn't been home in like a year! She'll be back!" I tried to assure him.
"But why?" I could tell he was starting to get frustrated.
"I don't know! She'll be back! Don't worry! Just cheer up and help your brothers decide on a movie or go be with Daniel!" I tried to tell him in a way that he would understand how annoying this is.
"Kat, why do you always have to try to cheer people up. All you're doing right now is trying to shut me up. I hate that about you, all you do is try to keep people happy. You know it's normal to be mad! FUCK!" he yelled people started starring.
"Calm down! Wouldn't you rather be happy? Kat is trying to have a nice night, just like all of us." James tried to calm him down.
"I'm not going to calm down. How would you feel if someone you loved left after being with them for a fucking year!" Beau was screaming at James and I, he kept inching closer and closer to James's face.
I notice the group got closer, Jai and Luke were done arguing, and Mallory, Jen, Jordane, and Daniel were all done with their dancing. Everyone was a little frightened about what will happen next. You could see Beau's eyes get into a anger stare directly at James. I turned to tell Jai to text Manda but then I heard a crash, I looked over and saw Beau on the ground.
Beau got up and his right hand went into a fist, hitting James in the left eye. Daniel saw this and jumped in. Daniel is always protecting Jen and James. Once he joined in so did Luke. Luke was there to protect his big brother, and with his anger problems he really did the job right.
Luke grabbed me and threw me across sidewalk, all that happened to me was I just tripped.. He then kicked Daniel to the ground and kicked his stomach.
All of us girls, and Jai, were all in shock! Punches were thrown and all four of the boys that were fighting were spitting terrible names at each other! Jai turned to Jordane, "I have to stop this." He grabbed Luke by the arm and threw him to the ground, he said sorry don't worry. Then Jai pushed Beau out of James's sight. Everything was over and done with, we were all quiet.
I rushed to James, "You really didn't have to do that!"
I saw Beau out of the corner of my eye, he was sitting with his back against a brick wall with his arms loosely wrapped around his knees. When I saw him he mouthed four words, "This was your fault."
We all sat quiet, everyone was a little scared to speak. I can't believe that James would stick up for me like that, I thought to myself.
Maybe one day it will go back to the old times. Hopefully.
