Chapter 9

Next, in line to observe the madness around him was Charles. He was on his way home from handling some business with Kris and Josh when he got a call from a man that said "Hello is this Charles?" he said "Yes. Why?". The man was Detective Woods. Woods told Charles that his wife was extremely injured and that there was a possibility she wouldn't survive. He raced home and stopped at nothing not caring about anything around him as long as he coukd see his wife and make sure she would stay with him forever. Charles was not letting that woman go for any reason at all. When he pulled up hw swerved the car into the driveway, hopped out and busts through the door. He stopped dead in his tracks once he saw her laying on the ground. She had shot wounds in her arm and bruises near her mouth and bleeding from her head. This was to much for him to take in. Charles picked her up tooke her to his car and speeded off to the nearest hospital. He carried her in and yelled he needed help. The nurses came and took her away. But he was going with and there was nothing they could do about it. They cut her shirt and jeans off put her in a hospital gown and started to clean her wounds. When they finished they put her in a room with Charles and he asked hwr the same question Kris asked his wife " Who did this to you?" and she looked away. He gently touched her head moving her hair off her face asked her again and she told him Donavin did it and he layed his hand on her face dropped a tear on her face and as it ran down he ran out the door ready unleash his anger. She yelled his name wondering if she would be able to hold him ever again.
