***Madi's POV***
I sat on my bed and wondered, what would life be like without my metaphorical sister slash best friend? Pretty boring I guess. But at the same time... Easier! I didn't want to be mean but it was true! There would probably be less drama.
I think back to when we were young. Everything was so simple! Now things were just too hard. I couldn't take another screw up between us.
The hours go by as I stare at my ceiling. Suddenly, my thoughts are interupted by music pounding downstairs. I check downstairs to see what it is. Mistakenly, I look into my living room to see my mom working out in her shorts and tank top.
I mock her movements as Derek, the instructor on the TV, shouts different exercises to try. After a while my mom seems to realize I'm mocking her.
"Madison, don't mock me. Derek's doin' the party walk!" Mom says as she paces the floor and whips her hair side to side as Derek does. It's funny though, because Derek doesn't have any hair. My brother, Johnathan, walks down the stairs and shouts,
"Haaayyy," imitating Derek's (as we call it) "gay-boy" voice, as he swings his imaginary afro.
"Ok, guys. Cut it out." Mom smiles. Johnathan walks into the kitchen and goes into the cupboard. He pulls out the bread.
"What are ya making, Johnathan?" My mom asks as he takes out the frozen bacon.
"Well, I call it a breakfast sandwich but if you want me to get detailed, it is a sandwich with bacon, eggs, cheese, and Doritos." He replies.
"Doritos?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's a Johnorito! Got a problem with that, punk?" My brother has a tendency to pretend he's cool.
"Yeah, actually I do." Johnathan got up real close to my face.
"And what's that?"
"Those are my Doritos." I smiled.
"And your breath stinks." It was his 15 year old puberty breath.
Johnathan pretended to punch me and walked back upstairs with his sandwiches. I rolled my eyes and followed him up.
I returned to my bedroom as my cell phone buzzed on my night stand. It was a text from my BFF, Allie. I groaned. I really wasn't in the mood to text. But she made that change.
It read:
'Hey madi! We should hang out this weekend. Then we can pracctice our films. Good ahead. Correct my gramar!'
I smiled at the fact that she knew I was going to correct her. I was all about grammar and spelling.
I replied:
'Hey, Madi*
practice**
grammar***
Anyway, yes we should. I'm free tonight around seven and tomorrow. Not on Sunday though. My cousin is coming over and going to church with us. Sound good?'
I pressed send. A few seconds later my phone buzzed and her reply appeared.
'Sure! I'll tell drew to go to his friends house. Maybe he wll leave us alone.'
Her bad grammar and spelling drove me crazy.
I replied:
'Drew*
friend's**
will***'
She replied:
'What was wrong with 'friends'?'
I smiled and rolled my eyes at her blondness... Even though she was a brunette.
"You forgot the apostrophe! Duh!"
It was amazing that in just one text Allie could turn my day around.

*Allison's P'O'V'*
I threw my phone down on my bed and practically ran downstairs. After I texted Madison... I kinda assumed she could come over. I didn't exactly ask.
"MOMMMMMM!!!!! CAN MADDI SLEEP OVER FRIDAY TO SATURDAAYYY???" I shouted as I looked for my mother in our two story house. My mother came out of the kitchen and looked over at me as I sat on one of the railings staring at her with a puppy eyed look.
"Pleeeeeaaaasssseeee Mama?? We're working on videooossss." I whined as I pouted my lips. My mother sighed and nodded.
"Ask your father first though." She said before she went back to cooking dinner. I ran outside to my father's work shop and hung my head over his shoulders. We both knew what I was going to ask.
"Dadddyyyyyyy. Can Madison come over? Pleaassseee?" I begged him as I batted my eyelashes. Good for me, my dad liked Madi. She was the favorite of all my friends.
"Alright. Just one thing. Don't go too insane." He smiled as he continued to work on his paperwork. I smiled and skipped out of the room. Madison was like my sister, whenever she came over I always had the most fun. She got me off the lazyiness mode and got me outside. She brought the good out of me. I was always sad when she left. I heard a familer bark as I walked back into the house.
"Fofo! How's my black furred little monster?" I grinned as I rubbed her ears. She's a black lab, therefore she loved water. We could never let her outside without someone out there... or she'd end up smelling like crap. Or all muddy.
She wagged her long tail in reply and ran off to get her toy. I ran in the other direction hearing her chase me. I laughed and ran upstairs into my room, letting her in with me. She jumped onto my bed and made herself comfortable. I smiled and picked up my phone seeing a reply from Madison.
'I can come over! Did you ask your parents? Knowing you, you probably didn't...'
I pursed my lips and looked away from my phone. She knew me to well... I quickly typed up a reply.
'Shhhhh. I just asked themmmm :D they said yes! ^-^'
I tend to have a habit of adding tons of emojis in my texts. I just liked showing emotion. I ran downstairs with my phone in my back pocket only to see Drew had taken over the tv.
"Dreeeeeewwwwww. I wanna plaayyyy. Madison is gonna get on soonnnn." I said as I hung over the back of the couch. He sighed and threw the controller at my face.
"Go right ahead. I'll go play legos." He rolled his eyes as he ran upstairs. I rubbed the bridge of my nose and swung myself onto the couch. I grabbed the controller and invited Madi to play our favorite game together, Little Big Planet 2. I smiled knowing soon, I won't be able to break from all the laughing.
"ALLIEEE! DINNERS READY!" My mother told me from the kitchen and I groaned in reply.
"But mom! I'm playing with Madison!" I frowned as her character started hitting me with an electric sword. I hit her back and fought for control. It continued like this until I made up my own sword and fought her with it. I started laughing and dialed up her number. Once she answered I smiled.
"What are you doing??? Are you trying to kill me?" I smiled. She laughed and moved her character to hit me again.
"Of course! What else would I be doing?" She smiled as she continued with blows of the sword.
"Allie! Dinners ready! You can play later. " My mother scolded. I sighed and turned off the game.
"Sorry Madi. I have to get off. I'll be on later though!" I reassured her as I clicked off the tv.
"Okay! Call me after you're done." She said in reply. I smiled and said a quick goodbye before hanging up. That girl can sure brighten up someone's day. I thought as I walked over to the kitchen.
