Driving through the mountains, I forced myself to do a double-take. Taking place between two large oaks, was a wedding. The bride was standing at the altar, across from the groom. Her eyes were shining brighter than stars, with a gigantic smile spread across her face. Rolling down her face were tears, but not of sadness or of fear, but of joy. Great joy, as if she had only just realized that the love of her life was standing across from her, saying his vows, pledging himself to her, promising to never leave her, to love her and to cherish her for his entire life. Rolling down her face were tears of love. She brought his hands to her lips and gave them a kiss, as if to just let him know that she loved every part of him, the good and the bad and the ugly. She kissed his hands as if to say no matter what hardships they encountered, they would forever be together, as much in love as they were then. As the minister said the final words, "you may kiss the bride" she wasn't planning on waiting for him. She pulled the groom, her now husband, close pressing her lips against his, as if to say, "Forever."
