Jason's POV

Beep....beep....beep....beep....

I woke up to the sounds of that annoying beeping. I open my eyes and waited for them to adjust. I blinked and looked around. I turned my head to the side and sat up. Only to fall back down. I looked over to see my arms strapped down.

"We had to strap you down. You almost killed two of my doctors." I looked over to see my mom getting up from a chair in the shadows. She always did came out of no where when we needed help. I turned my head back to Sarah.

"She's...fine." Mom said. I growled.

"That's a lie. What's wrong with her?" I asked and mom sighs.

"I knew you could tell I was. We find something in her system. Its slowly killing her. Its a rare medicine and I don't have the antidote for it. I'm sorry." Mom said as I stared at Sarah.

"How long?" I asked softly.

"I don't know. A few years or longer. I'm not sure." Mom said. I sighed.

"What if I told you I was in love with her. What would you do?" I asked not looking at my mom.

Jason's Mom's POV

I watched my son stare at Sarah. Something I knew shines in his eyes. 'He really must love her.' I thought. I smiled softly.

"I would do everything I can to help her." I said. Jason hums.

"Then I love Sarah. Very much." Jason said.

"I'm happy for you." I said and walked out to give him some space.

I leaned against the wall and slid down. I sat looking up at the ceiling. I smiled softly as tears rolled my face. I felt my heart slow down as my breathing became short. I lean back against the wall and closed my eyes. I don't want to die, but I can't stop time either. I put up with this cancer for this long. I saw nothing but darkness then a light shines. The man I loved standing there. Jason's adopted father and my husband. He smiled at me as I walked up. We shared a kiss and hugged.

"This is going to be hard on Jason. With me gone and now you." He said and I smiled.

"You heard what Jason said. He finally found someone to love. I'm proud of our son. Even if he is adopted." I said.

"Even if he has your sister's temper." My husband said.

"She does not have-!" I shut my mouth when my husband smirked. I pouted and looked away. He kissed my cheek and I smiled. I can't never stay mad at him.

"Let's go." He said as I nodded. I looked back at my son and smiled. I saw the nurses and doctors shook their head sadly as they told my son I was dead. My son know of my condition. What surprised me was what he said that brought tears to my eyes.

"I know my mom is dead, but she's not gone. My mom is happy with my dad up there. I'm happy staying right here. They're watching over me and I'm watching over Sarah. I love my mother and I'm proud to call her my mom as am I her son. Nothing will ever change that." Jason said. Somehow he broke the strap while I was looking. Should have done metal. Then again he'll break that too. I sigh as I shook my head. I walk towards the light hand-in-hand with my husband. Smiling the whole way.

Sarah's POV

I hear voices around me and I open my eyes. The first thing I see is brown hair and warmth on on my arm. I turned my head and smiled.
