Chapter 15: The Goddess's Pack
"It's a pleasure to see you again Alpha Belphina," Grail said with a smile as he shook my hand well Cav glared at him.
"If I remember correctly I told you to stay off my lands, or I'd set my guards on you," I told him growling keeping my anger in check by looking into Cav's eyes which wasn't hard since he was right behind Grail.
"You did, but that was before I had realized who you were. If I had payed more attention in my special classes as a child I would have realized right away," he said bowing down to me.
"I had told you exactly who I was when you happened upon my well I was sleeping," I told him smirking a little as Cav growled angrily.
"You told me who you were born as, but not everything, I should have known from your comment who you were," he said making me panic slightly since I didn't want my parents to know.
"I suggest you refrain from assumptions, or I will have my guards escort you off of my territory, and trust me Cav would be eager to make sure you'd never return," I said as I gestured for Cav to come closer to me, and motioned for him to sit on my desk.
"I apologize," he said sincerely.
My parents were looking at us confused by our conversation, and by the way I had made Cav sit by me. My mother though was smirking between us knowing I had made him come closer in order to make sure I wouldn't lose it on Grail. Cav himself seemed happy to be able to sit with me, and if he was in a chair beside me I'm sure he would have tried something. Instead I teased him by biting on my lip while making it seem like I was deep in thought. My eyes twinkled in mischief as I saw Cav groan and try to make himself comfortable.
"Now then Grail how about you tell me what pack you are from, and why exactly you are here?" I demanded well making it a question at the same time.
"I'm the peace keeper of The Goddess's pack, and I'm here because my Alpha wants to meet you and your Beta," Grail said shocking my parents.
"I thought the Goddess pack was just a myth told to us as kids," my dad said looking at Grail in awe.
"That's because our pack tries to stay away from other packs, but my Alpha wishes to meet the first female Alpha in a long time," Grail said most likely changing the truth in order for me to not kick him off of the land.
"Cavien when do we have free time?" I asked since it was the Beta's job to keep on the schedule.
"Well we have the quads birthday in a little while, and the parent teacher conference is next week. Pack wise we still have a lot of paperwork to cover, and we have training to over see for the newly turned wolves. Then there's the wedding," what wedding I thought panicky as I looked at him, "of my cousin, and you're the maid of honor, so with helping with the wedding in three months. The best we can do is schedule a meeting after the wedding since we don't know how long it could take to meet his Alpha," Cav said as he over looked a planner he had pulled from his pocket.
"I'll take to him, but I think it's safe to say he will probably try to make terms to meet on your land instead then," Grail said with a smile handing Cav a card and leaving the room.
The room was silent for a moment before Cav sent my parents a look and they left. I sat there in silence as he started to look over some of the paperwork on my desk. I had the feeling he wanted to say something but was waiting for me to talk first. He looked so handsome, and I wished that I could tell him everything, but I knew wishing would get me no where.
"Cav I completely forgot about Alexi's wedding," I said looking into his eyes and feeling like I was going to melt.
"No you didn't Lexi just wanted me to ask you, and since you've been avoiding me I couldn't. I knew once you started talking to me again you would have regretted missing the chance to be in her wedding, so I told her you were fine with it," Cav said with a smirk making me weary.
"Why couldn't she ask me herself?" I asked him suspiciously as the smirk grew bigger.
"Well considering her groom is one of my best friends she wasn't sure if you'd accept knowing that I'm the best man," Cav said smirking as I visibly paled.
"You're not serious?" I asked hopefully.
He just smirked and came closer to me his breath in my ear as he leaned over me and pinned one arm on either side of me. With a cocky grin he spun me around and inched closer until his lips had captured mine. In my mind I was having a battle with myself as he deepened the kiss, one part of me was accepting it, and the other wanted to fight him off. I groaned in complaint as he removed his lips from mine.
Smirking he leaned down and whispered, "I'm plenty serious and can't wait for our dance classes," before he walked out of the room leaving me alone once more.
