I was 15 when I got pregnant and luckly I had a good boy friend. But my parents had always told me that if I ever did drugs or got pregnant they would kick me out...and they did! so my boy friend had to work three part time jobs to pay for the expiences of living in a run down apartment.

After only two months he ended up having to drop out of school so he could get a full time job that pay only a little more. Food bills were crazy and it got worse. My baby came three months early and I gave birth to a girl. She needed immediant attintion and we had to pay all the hospital bills with no help from his nor my parents. We had to use the money that was originally for our apartment bills to pay for the hospital bills. It was a very stressful time for me and my boyfriend.

The baby was finally released from the hospital and before they released her they asked if we wanted to give her up for adoption. I never thought of it before because of what had happened, and after seeing my little Aurora go through all of this I fell deeply in love with her and it felt impossible to just give her up. So we said no and took her back to our new apartment that was even more run down than the last.

I decided not to go back to school and got a full time job that helped us some. After 5 years of struggling to give Aurora a better life, my husband went back to school and got his high school diploma. I got mine by going to night school. Then everything turned around and my parents finally got the courage to admit they were wrong and they bought us a good house in a good neighborhood.

Aurora is 15 now and she is always telling me not to worry, that she'll be fine and make it through high school all the way. And I believe her. MY life went from good to horrible to great. There are two more additions to our family, 6 year old George and 4 year old Skye(girl). I love all of them more than air and I'm glad they have the lives they have.
