Then he thought the time had come to ask something hard and horrible. This is what he said:
This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to metal;
Slays kings, ruins towns,
And beats high mountain down.Poor Bilbo sat in the dark thinking of all the horrible names of all the Giants and ogres he had ever heard told of in tales, but not one of them had done all these things. He had a feeling that the answer was quite different and that he ought to know it, but he could not think of it. He began to get frightened, and that is bad for thinking. Gollum became to get out of his boat. He flapped into the water and paddled to him. His tongue seemed to stick in his mouth; he wanted to shout out -
"Time for the bell! Lunch is over!" Josie yelled at me "c'mon book worm! Get off your lazy ass!"
"Ok, ok." I replied and held out my hands expectantly.
Viv and Josie grabbed one each and hoisted me off the ground. I took my bag and my book and walked with them to history.
"So. What chapter are you up to?" Viv asked.
"Riddles in the dark." I replied.
"Oooh I LOVE Gollum, he's adorable!" Viv commented. Josie and I slowly backed away warning each other not to make any sudden movements before running all the way to history with Viv chasing after us.

"Today we will be starting on the Aztecs." Explained mr James. "First off, I would like you all to get your devices out and take some notes while we watch a short video about human sacrifice." He waited for us to turn on our laptops and played the video.
"Hello, and welcome to another episode of 'history buffs'. Today, we'll be looking at the Aztecs and human sacrifice..."
"Mimmi. Mim! MIM!" I was woken up by Josephine the banshee. "Class is over, it's home time! Viv and I are gonna go to get ice cream, you wanna come?"
"Sure." I told her "just give me five more minutes."
"Nuh uh." She told me you are coming with us now!"
"Fiiiiinnneeee." I groaned. I got up and left the class room with Josie where we regrouped with Viv.
As we walked out of the school Viv reminded me about the notes I was supposed to have on human sacrifice. "Shiitake mushrooms!" I exclaimed "I didn't get any notes"
"Reeelax." Josie yawned "I never take notes"
"Yeah, and look where that's gotten you" I snickered.
"Excuuuseeee me!" Josie started "I'll have you know that I Haven't had a detention in three days! Three!"
"Oh! I'm terribly sorry your highness." I bowed "what a fool I was to ever doubt you."
"That's right peasant. Now kiss my royal ass!"
"Eww. Hey wait. Where's Viv?" I asked looking at Josie.
"Don't ask me." She told me
"Guys come over here." We heard Viv calling us.
"Where?" We both asked.
"Here!" She hissed. We tried to find her voice but it seemed to be on the other side of the fence that ran along the edge of the path that we were walking along. "Over here" she told us again with obvious annoyance in her voice.
We moved along the fence line until we found her on the standing on the other side.
"How in the world did you get there?" Josie questioned.
"Easy. Hole." Viv told us pointing at a hole in the fence.
"When did that get there?" Josie asked.
Viv shrugged "I don't know. But now we can finally see what's behind the fence."
"Alright Viv!" Josie climbed through the hole and stood next to Viv. "OK Mim. Your turn."
I didn't move.
"C'mon Mim. Your turn."
"Well..." I started
"Is Mimmi scared?" Josie teased.
"No." I snapped "it's just... Well there's gotta be a fence for a reason.
"Aaaand? That's what we're about to find out. What the reason is."
"Okayy." I gave in
"Yayyyy!" Viv and Josie both said as I went through the fence.
We started walking towards the trees and peered through the thick foliage. We pushed the branches out of the way and disappeared into the trees.
