"RRRIIIINNNGGG!" The bell went off alerting us that it was time for second period.
Immediately, everyone in the class shot up out of their chairs and turned towards the exit.
"Uh, uh uh" mr fume waggled his finger at them as I rushed to write down my answer to the last question. "The bell doesn't dismiss you! I do." He boomed. "And what did I say about checking your work. Hannah!" He turned towards Hannah who was quietly trying to sneak out of the class room.
She stopped in her path and slowly turned to face him. "Yes sir?" She put on a fake smile.
"You've just earned a lunch detention." He told her.
She opened her Mouth to protest.
"Detention!"
"Yes sir." She mumbled hanging her head.
The whole class groaned as I hurriedly packed up my things and joined the line at the door as he checked our work.
Ok "Jackson your good to go." Mr fume dismissed him after checking his practice test. "Mark! Your coming back at lunch. So are you Stephanie."
Unfortunately for me, I was last in the line because I had stayed at my desk to quickly complete the last few questions so it took me a while to be dismissed and go to my next class, which luckily for me was visual arts. But because of the hold up in maths, I was late.
"Hello there dearie." Miss faun spoke to me softly as I entered the classroom. I was so relieved that we had such a nice teacher today. After mr fume, I didn't think I could survive with any other teacher.
I sat down in the only spare seat in the classroom, next to Clair and mumbled an awkward hello receiving a look of disgust as her reply while she popped a bubble with her pink gum and proceeded to text on her phone, completely ignoring me.
I took out my pencil case and watched miss Faun as she demonstrated something on the board.
After 50 minutes of drawing human figures, which admittedly was fun for the first 5 minutes, the bell rang and we all herded out of the class and into the corridors pushing our way through the crowd of students racing to get to the canteen. I eventually met Viv, collected my pre ordered lunch and walked past the line of students, including Josie, who where bustling to give away the little amounts of money they had scavenged in exchange for their lunches. We walked over to our usual place and started to eat our lunches as we waited for Josie.
"So." Viv began "I've been thinking."
"That can't be good!" Josie interrupted as she came over with a small packet of chips and a creaming soda.
"Haha, very funny. Anyway" Viv continued, rolling her eyes. "I've been thinking about what's been happening to us when we cross that river. I mean, how is it even possible?!"
"Who cares?!" Cried Josie, crunching on a half eaten chip.
"Look Viv." I spoke, putting a hand on her shoulder and taking a sip of my chocolate milk. "I think that it's probably best that we don't drive ourselves mad by trying to comprehend what's going on.
"What we should be figuring out, is when we're going next!" Josie piped up.
"I don't know if it's such a good idea. But YOLO right?"
"I guess." Said Josie "but no one says that anymore."
"Well," I spoke up before they started a pointless debate about who says YOLO anymore. "I won't be able to go until I go to my mums on Tuesday because I'm still grounded.
"Which is tomorrow." Viv reminded me. "So let's go on Wednesday."
"Sounds like a plan." Josie said, slurping on the last drop of her creaming soda.
We all remained seated in our little circle in a satisfied silence while we continued to eat the last of our lunches.

FantasyMim is a relatively average girl with two relatively average friends, Josie and Viv, but one day after school, they wind up in a not so average forest and find themselves in a not so average situation. This is not a hobbit fanfic!
