Emma's POV
I woke up with dried tears in my eyes. Everything that happened yesterday felt unreal. Was it really the end? I got up and threw my hair up into a messy bun. I put on leggings and a tank top and went downstairs. I kept looking at the texts Killian had sent me. I didn't know what to do. It was Monday so I had the lunch shift. I had to leave for work in 2 hours. I threw on my leather jacket got in the car, and drove to Starbucks. Patter I ordered my drink I sat down and waited. While I was waiting I looked at the door and saw a blue eyed, tall man. I realized it was Killian and started freaking out. I hoped he wouldn't see me. He started to walk to the line when the lady called my name. Emma Swan's coffee is ready. I awkwardly walked up knowing Killian was looking at me. I started to quickly walk out. When I was halfway to car a hand turned me around. I knew who it was.
KILLIAN'S POV
It was Monday morning and I couldn't stop thinking about Emma. I had messed up and I couldn't forget it. I put on clothes and went downstairs. I was off work today, so I decided to go to Starbucks. My work had been in a slump lately so I hadn't really been in days. I got in the car and drove to Starbucks. I thought about the first time I saw Emma here. After thinking about the day, I got out of the car and walked in. I started walking over to the line looking down, when I heard a name. Emma Swan's coffee is ready. I turned around and saw her. She was beautiful. She saw that I was there and quickly walked out. I followed after her. I grabbed her arm and pulled her around so she was facing me. We stood there for a little until I forced out something. "Emma, I'm sorry." She just looked into my eyes. "You tell me about you whenever you want, I will never push you again, please forgive me Emma!" A tear fell down her face. I wiped it with my thumb and put my hand on her cheek. "Please Swan."
Emma's POV
I looked into his ocean blue eyes. Should I let him back in? I didn't know what to do. "Killian." I said. I just wanted to kiss him. He interrupted me. "Emma I'm sorry, I should of just let you tell me on your own time. I don't care if you tell me or if you don't, all I know is I want to be with you." He said. I thought about the night. It was only a day ago but it felt like months since we had seen each other. I gave in. I barely managed to get the words out. "Fine." The biggest smile spread across his face. I couldn't help but slightly smile. "Man I missed you, Swan." He stood there looking into my eyes. I let my feelings take over. I started to lean in for a kiss. I softly kissed him. He pulled away and hugged me. I smiled and said, "I missed you too."
Killian's POV
I held her in the hug until I pulled away. I wiped her tears and smiled. "I have to go to get ready for work." She said. I nodded and watched her as she started to walk to her car. She looked back, I gave her a small smile. She got I her car and drove away. I did t have work so I went back inside Starbucks, got a drink, and sat down. I was drinking my drink when I got a text from my boss.
Hey Killian I have some bad news. - my boss
Um, what's wrong? - I responded
As you know work is not doing well these days, and we don't have any more money to keep everyone employed. I'm very sorry Killian, you and 200 other people are being laid off. I'm sorry. - he texted.
Alright. I'll miss you all, I'll get my stuff later. - I replied
I sat there shocked. I didn't know what to do or say. I got up and drove to my work.
After I collected everything, I went to the local to get a drink.
Emma's POV
I arrived home, I wasn't sure how I felt. I really liked Killian, but should I let him back in? I waled upstairs to get ready for work. I straightened my hair and put on a tight black dress. My work required us to wear so it was what I usually wore. I put some makeup on and headed out the door. When I arrived there I went in and put on my apron. I couldn't stop thinking about him.
Killian's POV
I arrived at the bar and got out the car. I walked in and went straight to the bar part. I didn't see Emma because she was working in the restaurant part. After I ordered a beer I turned around and watched Emma wait on people. I didn't know how to tell her I lost my job. I ordered a drink and got lost in my thoughts.
Emma's POV
It was about 8:00 so I on,y had to more hours of work. I was exhausted. After cleaning a table I turned around and got stopped by my boss. He had assigned me to work at the bar part of the local. I always wanted to work in the bar. I got excited and hugged him. He laughed them kept working. After I took my apron off I went over to the bar and started working. Before I started serving drinks I noticed someone sitting at the end of the bar. I walked over. "Killian? What are you doing here?" I asked shocked. He looked up. "Hey Emma." He said quietly. "Are you ok? Something's wrong." I brought his eyes to look into mine. "I lost my job." He hardly was able to whisper it."Killian, I'm so sorry." He looked down. "Hey look at me, it's going to be ok." I smiled and kissed him. He smiled back. All if a sudden I got a idea. "Wait Killian, what if you work here they need a bar tender." He looked at me with hope. "Emma it's ok I don't want to cause trouble." "No Killian it would be amazing, I'll go ask." I said with a smile. I asked my boss and he said he could try the job out, and he would watch him to see if he would work. I started walking back to him.
Killian's POV
She started walking back, I was nervous to what she was going to say. She had no expression so I couldn't tell what was going to happen. "He's going to give you a chance." A huge smile grew across my face. "Emma I don't know what to say." I got up and hugged her. "When do it start?" I asked. She smiled "tomorrow."
