Chapter 6

The sun rose again above the salt water horizon. This morning there were a few fishing boats littering the seas as the men on board attempted to catch some non-toxic fish to feed to masses back in Oceanus. Two small fishes and five loafs of stale bread could never feed five thousand people these days.  In Oceanus there were people already awake and ready to start another day at work.

Shawn and Castor were walking down the streets again. This time Castor was armed with a long metal sword. It was rusty, but it was still impressive. It was hard to find real weapons. A Sword was rare but having a gun was even rarer. Unfortunately Castor didn’t have a gun, but he believed a sword was just as good.

“What happens if you don’t come back Castor? Who will I talk to?” Shawn asked with a pout.

“Your girlfriend, do you remember her Shawn?” Castor replied grumpily, straightening out his clothes. He was wearing a leather hunting jacket with his usual long shelved black shirt under it.

Shawn sighed. “Why are you always in a bad mood Castor?”

“I’m not, it’s just when I’m around you.” Castor stopped in his tracks and turned to Shawn. “As far as I’m concerned that the fact you were a terrible boyfriend to Scarlet, and you probably caused her to lose her baby in the first place, with all that stress you put her under for not being there. So maybe you should go talk to her and don’t come back to me until you do, alright?” Castor turned and stormed off leaving Shawn in his wake, confused.
